Hands down - it's the one with ellen, although i think the photo owes part of its allure to the fact that is also shows his face and it is a face that has some maturity. It's hard not to think about all the things those hands have done through the years - the gentle touches, the firm guidance, the whisper-soft glide over exposed skin, the lightning quick snap of a finger against Kate's cheek, the drumming of fingers in controlled irritation, the flexing of fingers preparing to right a wrong, the hand-cradle for baby jonathan, the joyous lifting of a daughter in 'Helen' ... , the bones shifting just beneath the surface of the skin, the tendons and ligaments hinting at their presence as fingers move, the veins pulsing with life, the hands that worship, that control, the give pleasure, that give pain, that point the way, the hold back the tide,
oh, ellen, bless hour heart, how did you survive the knowledge that those hands were forever still?

OK, now i feel a little better. nothing like a cathartic experience to propel you onto more mundane things like folding the laundry and unloading the dishwasher.

Please satisfy my curiosity: is there someone involved in the board who actually knows the roof personally? I mean, I might have to modify my text if his cousin was a member. Seems as though I remember some reference in some thread that made it seem someone actually had access to him, but I can't remember exactly what left that impression.
Is there some reason to believe he actually ever knows anything that's said on these threads?

It is strange to read it... my thoughts are exactly the same as yours, it is the first time I've ever read them from someone else. I cannot put it as subtle as you, because it's not my native language, but I can add that your sentence explains why I love hands especially. It tells the story of his owner.

Ohhh, beautiful, thanks for putting them all together here!

I've always had a thing about hands (ugly hands can really turn me off an otherwise good-looking man), and those are perfect. Strong, but elegant, with long straight fingers. You can imagine them softly caressing a woman, gently cradling a baby's head, deftly playing the piano, but also doing some hard and dirty work. And rings suit him fine, too

There are several on the board who have met him. A few who might still have somewhat regular contact with him. But not me, I'm sorry to say.

But, as to if he reads the Rooftop? Highly unlikely. (Thank goodness!!!).
