Thanks for the translation, Renata! I love his witty answers (while I still don't get that thing he seems to have about his voice). Nice to read that he's a fan of Robert De Niro, too.

Thanks. Agree Anglophile, I think the cancellations of his tv work has effected some of us ( me and I am trying to work on it...haha) more than him, and what he says is true about looking forward to bigger and better things. I like his comments on life, and the fact he just lives it when he is off, not that I would think otherwise. He and I differ as I tend to be a more routine type person, love my routines!

Thank you rufianren for the second translation, too!
He is amazing with his honesty. He says simple things. No over-statements. His answer to "And what are you like when you pose?" is very close to me. When he smiles he seems himself „brutto”. I wonder why.
I think we can have thousands of inner pictures about him in our mind, and it might be the same with him, about himself. But for me his smiling is part of the big picture.
Thanks judy for pointing me in the right direction with the link. What a beautiful pic of him.
It amuses me that someone so goodlooking would be worried about how he photographs when he smiles. i gave myself the onerous task of looking at many of his smile photos to see why this could be (looking 'ugly', pffff - or bad translation maybe - he must know that in any common understanding of the word that is a lot of tosh).
maybe i have not looked at enough smile photies yet but .... every smile photo seems very individual to me and has something a little bit unexpected about it. if being photographed and analysed on looks all the time, that might not be quite comfortable. To me it is as if he is a little unpredictable. Ooooh. Must go and study more smiley photos, check theory ....

I agree that there's absolutely no reason for him to worry about his looks, smiling or not, but I can relate to that self-conscious feeling you get when looking at photographs of yourself. Somehow I find it quite endearing that he still doesn't seem to think of himself as particularly good-looking.

He looks great smiling or not smiling. I dont know why he thinks he looks goofy smiling. I love a big show your teeth smile on him. Both these pics are a couple of ny faves.
