May I introduce you ... I am a german one who lives for years in south of London at the coast. Work for an agency for actors and singers in London. my name vampirelady - With the movie "Interview with a vampire" I fallen in love to these creatures - so I was totally thrilled to hear in 2010/2011, Rufus would play vampire Adam in ALVH... although his role isn't in the book... Now Rufus .... this special man ... I don't know how long I am a fan of him.... long time ago ... and my rufusitis/rufanatic started ... Have seen him on stage "Rock 'n'Roll" in London and "Arcadia" .... this man was totally fab, awesome, amazing ... no words for this man... Well, I met Rufus often in the last years ... to speak with him is always funny and every time I get a heart attack ... the last time I met him and the other actors was on the wrap party for ATTAM .... I owns almost all of his movies... I can't say, which one is my absolutely favourite role of him .... I love all ... what can I do ? It's Rufus ... This' just for now ... see you ... ;D

Welcome Vampirelady - looks like you're looking forward to Rufus as Adam! What was it like to see Rufus on stage and talk to him? You sound like one lucky girl! You'll like this place. There's one catch though, you have to name some favourites (but you can change them anytime ). My current favourite's Taming of the Shrew, but I'm very fond of all his characters.

Vampirelady - welcome to the rooftop. I have to say I envy you, that you've seen Rufus live, on stage. I keep hoping to have that treat myself someday.

Welcome to the Rooftop, Vampirelady! I'm very fond of vampires myself, having grown up watching Christopher Lee movies on Saturday afternoon TV. Have fun poking around the threads. There's a lot to see here.

Welcome Vampirelady. Great name BTW I too have a fondness for vampires. I am reading a series of books at present written by Kirsten Painter. One of the main characters is a 'cursed' vampire named Malkolm. A wonderful character with great depth, and that depth has nothing to do with his teeth!! ;D Every time I read the books I imagine Rufus in the role of Mal. He is edgy, has a 'beast' within him, yet is emotional and sexual and seductive. I also look forward to seeing Roof in ATTAM. It will be nice to see him in something more contempory without all the wigs and makeup. You are so lucky to have met him so many times. Do you have any nice photos that you can share on the board with us all? I still live in hope that one day I will bump into him in London. Closest I have got so far is being in London (on 4 separate occasions) when he was in town. Have fun on the Rooftop.

thank you very much indeed for this warm welcome ... with the pics I have I will see Arcadia was awesome ... how old I was in this year ... 26 ... no 25 ... I noticed Rufus on stage there and said to my grandma (she invited me to the theatre): ... " , these curls, this hair, the green eyes .... um... yes ... " ... The look of my grandma after this was fab, too .... ... I think a little Rufusitis started on that day ...

Welcome on board, Vampirelady!
I have to confess I'm not into vampires at all and swore I'd never watch one of those movies - but hey, I'd pay to listen Rufus read the phone directory on stage ... ;D
You are indeed one lucky lady to have met the man in person several times AND seen him in both Stoppard plays. I really really really hate not having seen him in "Arcadia", which was a very long time before I even knew about the man.
I'm also very curious to hear about your favourite Rufus works!
