Fabulous Friends....
It was a fabulous day. A girl's day. A friend's day. The gorgeous Ally Bernstein came over in the morning to lay out by the beautiful pool and she and Clare had such a lovely time, eating, talking, reading, laughing, tanning and generally being happy. After lunch we drove over to meet up with Mr Simon D'Arcy, heavenly, and our wonderful friend Rufus Sewell, who is in town from London. It was a joy to see Rufus, because it's been a while. He's here seeing his beautiful girlfriend Alice, who we last saw on Oscar's night. Rufus is just the most wonderful guy, as well as being one of the most talented and brilliant actors we know. He recently won a lot of awards for his work, including the Olivier award which is hugely prestigious and well deserved. He was in great form and made us laugh all over again while we drank Starbucks and caught up with Simon and his week's filming. We are so lucky to know such amazing people.
After coffee we went back to the hotel to meet up with Ally and Ryan who came to the hotel to have dinner as it's Ally's birthday tomorrow. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GORGEOUS. We had the best, funniest, most entertaining dinner in ages. Sitting on the patio, the three girls enjoying life and laughing louder than anybody else just because they were so happy.
We bumped into the divine Mr Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. Stephen just arrived today and was full of good stories as ever. All in all it was a perfect evening and it went on late until we couldn't keep our eyes open any longer and made the short trip to our beds......sweet dreams as ever......

BTW, the photo BlogBabe put up looked vaguely familiar, so I went back in her blogs and found the same one there from last June. So not only does she put up fake photos of her dog, but pseudo-current ones of her many many 'friends'.

huh. It's funny. This woman usually sets my bullS**t detector right off the radar, but I thought I saw Roof on the street at the end of last week. I was driving and didn't cut across 3 lanes of bumper to bumper traffic because I just couldn't figure what he'd be doing in LA if he had the chance to be home with Billy for a few days... should'a guessed. That Ioan is such a minx.

I noticed right away the picture was an old one but hey, do you take pictures of your friends every time you see them... OTOH, you probably don't write about them in your blog either.

Actually he could be doing post on Downloading Nancy. Tule River is headquartered here in lalalalalalala...

Ooooh... Clare runs into all the good ones! No new pic, maybe Roof doesn't want himself pimped on her blog anymore?? I wonder what Alice has been up to in LA. I wonder if Rufus was on a glorified stop-over to the John Adams set? Perhaps some of the JA stuff is filmed in the studios in LA?

As an Angelino, I clearly need to follow this woman around, as she seems to run into all of the actors I like. (Rufus, Gerard Butler, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, and others I can't recall at this point.)

Hey, I can offer to dog-sit her stuffed "Mr. Big". Whaddaya guys think? Maybe Mr. Big would like to "play" with my little doggie.

I see I'm not the only one to notice that pic from last summer - skinny Roof, RnR hair, same brown shirt. And excuse me, but that pic of Blog Babe herself is "nothing to brag about" as my grandmother used to say.

She's very "LA" looking. You see a LOT of women who look exactly like her (they could all be clones) all over the Westside & posher areas of LA. So since so many women are forcing themselves to look like that, it must be the "in" look amongst that crowd.

I'm sorry, but she just CREEPS ME OUT! Her blog has always kinda been freaky to me and not because it's by her dog.........but the name dropping and the bragging 24/7 is just creepy/freaky to me!

Ok, you just made me wake up my husband who was sleeping soundly!!! That is the funniest thing I've read all day! I couldn't help but laugh VERY loudly. My dog isn't that happy with my laughter either!

That's nothing maxx, I have his bottom as my cellphone screensaver.......that gets some quizzical looks in the pub, I can tell you

You could have a 'bottom montage'. There have been some nice shots taken of it over the years clothed and unclothed. Of course it would need some music, like Beethoven's 9th or the Carmina Burana... which should just generally be Rufus' theme music. It suits him.

We haven't seen much of the butt in the last few years. Even character actors have bottoms, Rufus.
