Everytime I saw Rufus as a baddie in a movie I thoughed he looks sexy, without "acting sexy". I mean his famous look IS sexy, am I right? (I know, you know what I mean):

Yes, Rufus is sexy in almost every role he's played. Even Martin Ricardo had a certain creepy sexiness about him. IMO the only time Rufus has masked his sexiness is when he played Albert - and he HAD to then, it was important to the role.
I take it as a good sign that the press releases and at least one interview with the screenwriter/author (?) indicate that Adam is a major role. It sounds to me as if the part was beefed up for the movie.
P.S. almost forgot to say - ohelia, the pics are stunning. Thank you for sharing.

Ophelia, what beautiful pictures!! I have always wanted to see the Sagradia Famillia. Gaudi was a genius. Absolutely, V.G., There is no man sexier than our own...... R.S.

I have read around 70 pages of ALVH. I am finding it an enjoyable read, but I haven't read any funny parts as yet....
However I am extremely excited by the fact that some early parts of the story are set in Madison, IN (35 minutes west of where I live) and Rising Sun, Indiana (30 minutes east of where I live..) It would be great if they would film some of it here (as both towns are preserved in all their historic glory) but that would probably be asking too much.
I also have some experience in Elizabethtown, Ky, where I don't have any stories about Lincoln, but about a different president.
About 15 years ago my ex husband and I spent the weekend at a friend's family farm in Elizabethtown. It was a beautiful fall day, and we went for a hike in the woods. Our friend (who had grown up there) had a particular destination in mind, and we were content to follow where she led and enjoy the scenery. We hiked into the woods, up hills and down valleys and over outcroppings of granite for the better part of an hour until we came to a clearing in the woods. In the center of the clearing was a large granite boulder, covered in graffiti, some in sharpie marker and paint, others scatched into the surface with knife or some such. Around the back of the boulder, elaborately engraved, was the the name George Washington, and the date 17?? (I'm sorry after 15 years I don't remember the date...) It was one of the coolest things ever.
Thus endeth my historical anticdote that has absolutely nothing at all to do with the subject at hand.

Found out they are diffidently filming right now in New Orleans in the French Quarter, if any one is going to be in the area anyway, it would be worth going round to watch.

Okay scratch that checked again and as of today the filming is moving about 50 miles west of New Orleans to the Whitney Plantation. Don't know how long they will be filming there, it has to be the battle they will be filming there, it would be very cool to watch.

@ Ophelia -nice pics!
@rumatic- I know E-town well. Let me know of any filming in Indiana and I am there!
@ Reformeddruid- thanks for the updates.
@joyce- I also did not think Albert was very sexy as intended not to be. Except maybe the tub scene and spitting the water..haha! Really, he was probably the only character Rufus has played that did not over-flow with sexiness! Even thought that devil Eric was sexy. I think God will forgive me!

Adam will be sexy becasue evil is always sexy and seductive. Otherwise, we would resist.
Also - got my copy of ALVH from the library - not a spoiler to say that I'm very, very worried about Adam's eventual fate as the back cover of the book shows Abe holding a bloody ax and a severed head behind his back.

Nice impressions from the set. Love the costumes and the thought of seeing Rufus wear tight breeches again
