I won't dare to join in the serious conversation though - my only base is a pile of first impressions. Adina, your "impressions" are always as smart and insightful as anyone else's "serious conversation"! I love how you expressed this! I agree--I thought Lucas was really rotten in that scene at the funeral! Since that was the first scene with him, I was afraid I wouldn't like him at all. (Well, I was afraid I wouldn't like him, in the same way as I "don't like" Aggie, or Jasper, or any of the other manipulative b@st@rds Rufus has played before--that is, that I'd love him desperately, but only because of his Rufusness. ) I agree, the series did a great job of building suspense and tension. As you said, Rufus's subtle expressions of "control" made it hard to know what to think of him.... , was he excellent at playing a spy! Personally, I've gone out and bought several boxes of pre-sharpened pencils. I also thought she did well both in Venlo and in New Mexico when the plans went awry and she had to think on her feet. I wish they had more time in the series to show a couple more missions that went right, aside from the "honeypot" scheme. That technically went as planned but required actions on her part that might have distressed anyone. If they had shown more successes, then it might not seem like Eva was always running around in a panic.

Sadly - and totally inexplicably, given this was a BBC co-production - I have had this response to my e-mail to the DVD enquiry section at the BBC: Thank you for your recent communication regarding the availability of the below programme on DVD.
We are very sorry to disappoint you but unfortunately we have not acquired the DVD rights to this programme, so I am afraid we have no plans to release it. I've also e-mailed Endor Prodictions, via Red Arrow, so hopefully we'll get a more encouraging response from them. (BBC = numbskulls! :

It's no longer on iPlayer now, sadly I hope there will be a DVD out soon. As I live in Sweden I have no possibility to see series from TV in UK. Therefore I am also very interested in a DVD

Hi, Laban! Welcome to the Rooftop! I hope Restless will be out on DVD soon so that you and everyone else can see it--it was really good. We're always happy to meet new members. Please feel free to create a new thread in the Members section to introduce yourself, if you would like. That way, everyone will have a chance to welcome you.
