Thanks, that's very interesting!
It’s roughly every four days but each Thursday evening there’s going to be a lucky dip. Ian thought it might be good for Rufus to toss a coin in the foyer.
We're going on a Thursday! ;D

Ohhh, thanks for sharing those lovely photos, Ophelia! Sis and I were drooling over the poster on the theatre's website last night, and she was also all excited about us going on a Thursday

I really enjoyed this video (7.25 min. only of rehearsals), but, this is all I'll get to see. Those of you that do get to see the play, might not want to see this. Hope all of you guys have fun. Take lots of pics - so we can live vicariously. Thank you Ophelia for the pics of the theater. Fun to see where you all are going to be hanging out. It's exciting just knowing where Rufus is practicing. I'm sure I would be buying tickets for several performances, if I could. Completely envious over here!!! from OLD TIME (1970) by Harold Pinter: Alan Rickman - Lindsay Duncan - Gina McKee . www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyXW3e-WI5Y

I have already bought a ticket for a performance at the end of March. As English is not my native language I hope I will follow the dialog. I know the play so I hope it will be OK.

Thanks for the interview link, GE2! That was very interesting. I'll bet Rufus loves working with such intelligent actresses. I wonder who is the ping pong champ of the group? ;D
Ophelia, those are great pictures! Thank you for sharing them. I'm so happy for you that you will be able to see the play more than once! We will hope to get a full report, every time! ;D
Cool video, Wills. Thanks for the link. That's another great cast.

Cool video, Wills. Thanks for the link. That's another great cast. You can say that again! I didn't remember that Rufus is walking in Rickman's footsteps here

Short blurb on Old Times in a theater preview piece in the NY Times. rendezvous.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/01/10/what-to-see-on-the-london-stage-in-2013/Old Times
Kristin Scott Thomas has proven her stage mettle several times over in tandem with the director Ian Rickson, who guided her to a 2008 Olivier Award for “The Seagull” (subsequently seen on Broadway) before shifting from Chekhov over to Pinter for a 2011 West End revival of “Betrayal,” in which Ms. Scott Thomas also shone.
The two are teaming up again starting Jan. 12 on Pinter’s 1971 play “Old Times,” a shimmering, sensual piece that should be absolutely up Ms. Scott Thomas’s street. (The venue, aptly enough, is the Harold Pinter Theatre.) Her co-stars are the erstwhile Tony nominees Lia Williams (“Skylight”) and Rufus Sewell (“Rock ‘n’ Roll”), two thoroughbred colleagues by anyone’s reckoning. Roll on the pauses – and, one assumes, the passion, too. You can say that again! I didn't remember that Rufus is walking in Rickman's footsteps here Wouldn't you love for them to be in a film together?! But then if they were, who would you want to have the most dialog? ;D

I'm afraid no actual theatre for me too, due to my current physical bothers, but I made Mr Anyother promise me to come with me to London next year (that would be 2014), so I hope Rufus'll be considerate and do another play. Of course I wouldn;t mind this one running for say 12 months longer (the new Mousetrap), but that would be wishful thinking wouldn't it. Anyway, the best thing is, he also promised to join me to that (hypothetical?) play. He's getting rather soft on Rufus these days. Watched Restless with me and said that he had known from the first second he saw Romer that he was a thug, but he said it kind of endearing .

Wouldn't you love for them to be in a film together?! But then if they were, who would you want to have the most dialog? ;D That's a very tricky question. Oh, those voices. (I still think Rufus should get a slight advantage.) Very good plan, anyother!
