Do you ladies have any guess how quickly tickets may be sold out? Should I book right away or do you think I can afford waiting another week or two?

I am so, so, happy for all of you who will get to see this! Can't wait til the reports start pouring in! ;D Do you ladies have any guess how quickly tickets may be sold out? Should I book right away or do you think I can afford waiting another week or two? You might be able to get a sense by using the ticket link and trying a few random dates. You can search for seats by location and price range, and see what's left. I don't know how it is in the UK, but in the US companies and individuals buy tickets at face value and then resell them at a profit (scalpers), so the good seats often sell out quickly. Evening Standard has a little article about the play with a brief quote from Rufus. www.standard.co.uk/arts/theatre/rufus-sewell-return-has-leading-ladies-in-a-twist-as-actresses-find-out-roles-on-the-night-8205087.htmlRufus Sewell return has leading ladies in a twist as actresses find out roles on the night Rufus Sewell is returning to the West End for the first time in six years — but he will not know who his leading lady is until just before the curtain goes up. The actor is starring in Harold Pinter’s play Old Times alongside Lia Williams and Kristin Scott Thomas. But in an unusual twist the actresses will both learn the two female roles — his wife Kate and her visiting friend Anna — and a decision will be made on the night about which they will play.
“It’s quite exciting and will certainly keep us on our toes,” said the Los Angeles-based star, 44. He said it was both the play — which he called “wonderful, dark and interesting” — and the casting at the Harold Pinter Theatre that had lured him back to the stage.
His move comes six years after he won an Olivier and an Evening Standard theatre award for his performance as Jan in Tom Stoppard’s Rock ’n’ Roll.
Old Times will be the first of Pinter’s plays to be performed at the theatre and will run from January 12 until April 6.Not thrilled about the picture they used for their article--could they have found a more awkward angle and expression? Don't they usually reserve those kinds of pics for articles about politicians they don't like? Forgot to say: Thanks for posting the artwork for the play, GE2! Just gorgeous!

They should have chosen a wonderful, dark and interesting picture to go with it, like the one Germanlady found! But apart from that it's a nice little mention. I have been wondering if they re-used the Luther pic for the artwork, but isn't he looking a bit older than in the Luther pictures?

I think that rueful's idea is a good one, that's how I check to see how fast tickets are selling. I know he is popular with us, but it depends how popular Rufus is with the general public! Ms Thomas is often in the west end and Pinter plays are always being performed, though this will be the first one since the theatre has been named after him (it was previously called the Comedy Theatre).

Wonderful, dark and interesting. Maybe my interpretation is correct. Will be anxious to hear what you all think of the play after you see it.
