Thanks for posting that, GE2! Gorgeous picture! And it looks like his workout routine is already having an effect.  The word is two pics of the Rock working out in Hungry on twitter (can he be any buffer?) No Rufus...yet. I told him to keep checking since he is always on his phone anyway. LOL! I'll bet he didn't realize this was going to be his summer job. |

According to the news report I read last night, Europe's high water is now also causing problems in and around Budapest. The Donau/Danube has reached record level there and I read reports of evacuations in and around the city.
I hope everyone is safe and dry, including our forum member, locals, film crew and Rufus.
No twitter updates on the subject? With part of the city closed off and (allegedly) a state of emergency called out, I would have expected at least a single tweet.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures and Paramount Pictures announced that principal photography has officially begun on Hercules, starring Dwayne Johnson (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Fast & Furious 6) and directed and produced by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, X-Men: The Last Stand). Filming takes place in Budapest, Hungary.
Hercules also stars Golden Globe-winner Ian McShane (�Deadwood,� Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), Rufus Sewell (Legend of Zorro), Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love, �American Horror Story�), Peter Mullan (War Horse, Top of the Lake) and Academy Award-nominee John Hurt (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows). Rounding out the main cast is Rebecca Ferguson ("The White Queen�), Ingrid Bols� Berdal (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters), Aksel Hennie (Headhunters) and Reece Ritchie (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
Hercules is produced by Beau Flynn (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters), Barry Levine (Oblivion) and Ratner. Executive producers are Peter Berg (Battleship), Sarah Aubrey (Battleship), Ross Fanger (Iron Man) and Jesse Berger (Oblivion).
Based on the Radical Studios graphic novel "Hercules: The Thracian Wars," the ensemble-action film is a revisionist take on the classic myth set in a grounded world where the supernatural does not exist. The screenplay is by Ryan Condal and Evan Spiliotopoulos.

There is a Hungarian guy who tweets about the filming. He hasn't written anything about Rufus, so I haven't given him an own post here, but now I add some of his lines as a sort of background music. He managed to get into the elite team of the tribal warriors (the fifty scariest-looking blokes out of the extras, I guess), so he is close to the "action". He says that they are not allowed to have any body hair, because the costume is body painting and "scales". (It must be a cute tribe!  ) ((Once he overheard the extras were called "bio-set" in the makeup. Nice phrase. )) He is pretty impressed of course, his tweets are very excited behind the mask of "I am cool". The highlights of his days are seeing John Hurt to act or having a stare-contest with Ian McShane. The director, Brett Ratner, works hard, he roars-screams-runs like mad. It's fun to attack the six times bigger Dwayne Johnson and then have a laugh together after the take. Okay, that was my gossip PS. |
