Hi all! I have recently become a fan and I can't stop watching everything he is in! Was lucky to have seen Woodlanders and just loved it. Would love to watch him in a play but I am all the way here in South Africa, so I may be waiting a looooong time. Thanks for the site, it's great!

Welcome to The Rooftoop, Sar - glad you decided to join us! Is The Woodlanders the first thing of his you saw, or your favourite....or both? Poor sweet Giles is a great favourite around these parts. If you haven't already had a look around, there are lots of pics in the Media section, and in the screencaps sub-board of Work of.... We also have a great Games section, so feel free to join in there - we can always do with more players. If you have any queries, just ask here or send a PM to me or one of the other mods, and we'll try to help. Above all, though, enjoy! Thanks for joining our merry band.

Thank u! Will try the games section. I first remember him in a knights Tale. Recently though, out of the blues, I decided i wanted to watch something else of his, so I searched Netflixed and found Woodlanders, and really enjoyed it. I watched some interviews of his and thought that he was so down to earth and and so honest...What do u recommend I watch next?

I suggest some TV stuff, Zen, The Pillars of the Earth and The Taming of the Shrew. Also In a Savage Land, a favourite of mine and if you are into sci-fi, a classic, Dark City,

Charles II! (My favourite) He's very cute in At Sachem Farm/Uncorked/Higher Love (alternate titles), too.

Sar - welcome to the Rooftop, you'll find this is a very welcoming place. The only problem is you will soon find you have an incurable desire to own everything Rufus has appeared in! If you can find it on Netflix - you might want to check out "Restless." It was a joint production between the Sundance Channel and the BBC. It was filmed in South Africa so depending on where you live, you might recognize a street or two! And as Jacob is my favorite I have to recommend Eleventh Hour, but it is hard to find the episodes.

Hello, Sar! Oh, there are a lot of things to watch and listen to and enjoy. The Rooftop is full of good threads, you can find some nice little gems next to the big ones. The newest Rufus joy is in The Brunchers thread and don't miss the Rufus on Empire Online Podcast thread in the Media section - that is a very cute interview. Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the Rooftop!
This is a lovely place for finding all things Rufus, I hope you will enjoy yourself!
The Woodlanders is such a beautiful film and I think Giles is one of the sweetest characters he's ever played.
In a Savage Land is my greatest favourite, but I also loved all of the projects the other ladies have recommended. I'd like to add Illuminata to the list, another favourite of mine where Rufus gets to show many facets of his talent.

Welcome Sar Rufus made part of a TV play 'Restless' in South Africa so he may again . You never know your luck!
You might like to try 'Middlemarch' with a devastatingly young Roof. It was the first one I fell in love with. Then Petruchio () Frank, Ross, Zen(Yummy) Marke (Yes!) but really I love them all including the Baddies ... Agamemnon, Martin , and the naughty Adhemar.
Do join in and have fun. Frannie
