Hi! I'm an English student in my early 20s. I first saw Rufus Sewell in A Knight's Tale, when I was about 11 years old, and I remember my Mum said he was handsome…I remember being astonished that anyone could be attracted to THE VILLAIN, no matter how handsome he was!! Then I saw it again a when I was 13, and totally got it….funny what a difference puberty makes! And so, I've been a Rufus Sewell fan ever since. Thanks for letting me join, I'm really pleased to be here.

Hello and welcome, bruxelles! Nothing wrong with being in love with the villain if it's such a handsome one! Good to have you on board Enjoy looking around and don't hesitate to drag up any old thread if you feel like it. What are your other Rufus favourites besides AKT?

What are your other Rufus favourites besides AKT? Thank you so much, everyone, I feel so welcome! My other favourites at the moment would be Dark City (which in itself is superb, and the casting makes it all the sweeter), and Dangerous Beauty (heart-stoppingly lovely). I've also just started watching Middlemarch, and really enjoying it! But it was just recently that I got hit with Rufitis again (lol, love the plays-on-words you guys use!), so I'd love to hear if you have anything you'd especially recommend… Thanks again for the lovely welcome!

Looks like there's still a lot for you to discover.
I got hooked on Rufus when Pillars of the Earth aired in Germany, then I proceeded to watch Taming of the Shrew on youtube and was totally swept off my feet.
My biggest favourite, however, is the lovely but hard-to-get In a Savage Land. Rufus as enigmatic WWII-era South Sea pearl trader absolutely broke my heart. As did his performance as Giles Winterbourne in "The Woodlanders". Besides, I'd recommend Illuminata, A Man of No Importance, Uncorked (aka Higher Love aka At Sachem Farm), Restless and of course his splendid Renaissance king in "Charles II".
