OMG...since the age of 11 I'm a huge fan of the old egyptian culture. And now Rufus and Gerry in one movie that's called "Gods of Egypt"? I'm in heaven!!! Can't wait to see this movie.

IMDb has added Gods of Egypt to Rufus's list. The name of his character is Urshu. I googled it, hmmm... "The Pyramid Texts show that in addition to the gods already enumerated there existed certain classes of beings to whom were attributed the nature of the gods," and "The urshu, i.e., the Watchers" link Umm, IMDb has listed a guy who is called "Urshu Guard", so Rufus might be some sort of boss. (Well, his name makes me imagine directions of Proyas like "Give the baddies a piercing look, Rufus!!!" The baddies go home.)

Thanks for the info Adina. I googled Urshu. In addition to womens shoes I found this (it was posted yesterday) elitosphere.wordpress.com/tag/gods-of-egypt/I've copied the most relevant paragraph below Gods of Egypt also reportedly stars Chadwick Boseman and Rufus Sewell as Thoth and Urshu respectively. In Egyptian mythology, Urshu wasn’t actually the name of a god, but rather a title given to a group of envoys of the gods, so I’m assuming that the writers of the movie have made a few changes. It is interesting to note also that in Egyptian lore, all the gods listed so far, though they had the bodies of men, are represented with the heads of animals. Considering all the beautiful actors that have been cast in these roles, this is obviously another change that will be made to the myths. The discovery of this movie gave me so much life that I’m more than willing to overlook anything that may not usually have sit right with me! My only hope is that Gods of Egypt isn’t half the mess that the Percy Jackson and the Olympians movies were (talk about ruining Greek mythology). I’m going to hold on to positivity, though, and believe that this movie is going to be everything I need it to be! Happy dance! So now he's president of Gods huh?! I'd say he's fairly well qualified edited to add - another article claims Urshu is less divine than a God. Clearly they did one hell of a re-write of Egyptian mythology. Hope we get some divine pics soon

I quite liked Percy Jackson ... a bit childish maybe but I have seen much worse, so I won't mind if GoE is similar.
