More new smileys added....

I can't even remember what each of them are now, so can't try to re-upload them! Would some kind person who can still see them please either tell me what each of the missing ones is or, preferably, (if you already have my e-mail address) please copy them and send them to me, with the matching code (to the right of each of the white Xs) then I can put them back up without breaking any in existing posts. (Please don't PM them - I still won't be able to see them!)

I use Firefox and I can see a big, ugly, dark grey box with the text "Click and discover Imageshack." and the drawing of a frog where an Imageshack pic was before but the pic has got deleted, so its link is broken. Those boxes are a horrible sight. The missing smileys were from there, and they were pretty popular, so the older posts look like a frog congress. Ugh. They have started to show that box recently, we couldn't use those smileys before, but that wasn't an "ugly" problem like now.
I hope you can fix it, GE2.

The 5th smiley in the first row was the jumping smiley. The same smiley can be found here: www.freesmileys.org/smileys-happy-003.php the 7th one.

I think the first one in the second row is the same as the 27th one here: www.freesmileys.org/smileys-general-001.php

The 4th smiley in the second row was the swooning smiley

I don't know what the two other smileys were. (Maybe we should catch the Proboards Bear and explain to him that bears eat honey and not smileys.)

I'm sorry GE2, I can't see those smileys - instead of the small symbols shown in your post, I see five quadrats of about 8 cm edge length saying: click and discover imageshack. But when I do so, I just get the symbols of the keyboard instead of the smileys:

and now in the preview version of the post the symbols have turned into the quadrats again - I'll post them anyway and I'm curious whether it will be possible to reverse this after posting it finally?

No, it's been me too, but like Kate I haven't thought to mention it. However, it's been getting worse, exactly as Walt has described, now invading the smiley button in the reply box. I'm not sure if you've seen it yet GE2, so just in case, I'm posting a picture of the imageshack graphic itself (that is, it's a direct url of what we are seeing, not one of the smileys).



I found this discussion in another non-proboards forum.  Apparently it's happened to others, over the years.  I found this blogpostwhich may be helpful to you.

As for the missing smileys, Adina has identified two, and the other three are the dancing banana (in each case, I've put a space after the colon so it shows up here) [: '(], the bowing down smiley [: (], and the eye twitching smiley [: -X]. If you want to try to save them all in the same names, they used to be called:

You're welcome, Walt, although I don't know if it will be a solution--just some additional info for GE2 to try!

One more thing--I have been using Google Chrome lately, and Adina is using Firefox. But I also have IE, and after I made my post using Chrome I checked this thread on IE. In IE, I still only see white boxes with a blue "no" symbol, not the gray square with the frog. This includes where I wrote in my last post, "I'm posting a picture of the imageshack graphic itself." No matter what I tried in IE, I could not see that gray box in any of the links I posted for you, so instead here is a cropped screencap of what we see in Chrome and Firefox.

I'm afraid you're right, Rueful! That was no solution now that I had time to try. I can find everything mentioned in the blogger link on Firefox, but I'm at a loss what to do with these infos.

Ah and I thought it was just me that was seeing these too! I also noticed the same grey boxes in some of the threads in place of pics. The official reviews and pics Old Times to name 1 thread. I spotted Kitty's avatar is replaced by this box too. Maybe it's more of an Imageshack problem. It seems like we only just recovered from the photobucket muck -up

I'm not signed up with imageshack - if it's not all of us that are seeing the frogs I wonder if you need to be signed up to see the actual images. Or maybe I'm croaking up the wrong tree....

Thank you for all the help identifying the missing ones. I've now either put back the old ones , or replaced them with new ones - for instance, I was never particularly keen on that dancing banana so I hope no-one minds that we now have and because I'd already uploaded this swoon smiley  as an addition, in its original place we now have .

I have looked all over and I just cannot find our old "twitch" smiley, so I have replaced it with - so we now have several wink smileys to choose from.

I've also replaced some of the Proboards default smileys that weren't used a lot (which will mean some inappropriate changes in existing posts - sorry, Adina, I know you'll be the one to spot those!) with completely different ones that might be more useful:

 

   There's also this one that might have been missed before (you might need to scroll on the smiley menu to see the last few):
