This is getting some great reviews (and lots of Emmy/Golden Globe talk on Twitter) and even in the so-so ones, Rufus is singled out for his excellence (beware spoilers!):
John Smith, the American Nazi official played with chilling charisma by British star Rufus Sewell

The Man in the High Castle may not exactly let up, ease up, on its grimness, but it is a captivating, gripping affair. <.....> And while the show makes ample use of its vast, complex world and its awesome cast, it also does that unthinkable thing (though wonderful for TV) of turning monsters into characters. Rufus Sewell is the best example of this. In the pilot episode he's "the villain." Smarmy Sewell, as you've seen him play in many different projects. Naturally, he's certainly capable of doing more as an actor, he's just fallen victim to type-casting over the years.<.....> Well, his cliched Nazi flatness instantly falls away after the pilot. As SS Obergruppenführer John Smith, he's instantly elevated above mustache-twirling villainy following

The show does a clever job of showing how rewriting history tends to create new monsters. Sewell in particular is terrifying as Smith <.....> But outside of Sewell there are no dynamic performers here

And that's just a few of them!

Who's this 'Rupert Sewell'?! Secret brother, or a cousin, maybe? However...they seem to go over a lot of the same stuff, regardless of the current project (Zen, his career, the "next big thing" label that's been hanging over him for years...), but it's a good interview otherwise. Thanks for sharing, GE2. You can apparently listen to a slightly longer version of it too, on the Vozilla podcast.

I agree about the first word. When will they ever learn?!
Great interview. I particularly liked Rufus's conclusion:
“[The Man in the High Castle is] the only time I’ve ever been in a position where I’ve wanted something to be picked up for a second season,” he reveals.
Loved the tweets, they're so right!

What a great interterview, thanks for finding and pasting GE2. The tweets are great also, and I have to say I agree with them, both Rufus and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa were totally amazing.
