Well done for getting tickets, BP and Ophelia - you must be thrilled!
Well, happily I was able to see the play again last night and it was interesting not only to see some changes made (how the actors are placed at the very start is different, for example) but to watch it from a different angle, so that I could see expressions that I missed before. There were some parts that I wasn't sure if they'd changed or if it was just that I hadn't remembered from my first visit, but I like trying to pick up on stuff like that. I think they've tightened up the dialogue a bit, and the sound problem has been rectified. too.
It all seemed to go by very much faster this time around, though!
And yes, we were lucky enough to speak to Rufus afterwards - he very kindly stopped for a few minutes for a chat. He says he's enjoying doing the play now, likes the little things that go wrong - "including when pen tops get dropped on the floor?" I asked, referring to a small mishap he'd had - Rufus: "Oh, I LOVE it when things like that happen!" We commented on how we weren't sure if certain actors had come on stage from a different side previously at various times: "No, that's just us getting it wrong and having to say b****** it!"
He was happy that The Man in the High Castle has got the okay for a series, and said he starts filming that, for 4 months, as soon as the play finishes. We chatted about the John Smith character (he teased us about whether we could pronounce "obergruppenführer") and how that might turn out. He gave nothing away on that score, but did say "if it means I'm playing a baddie for a couple of series, so be it."
Sadly, no pics from me as my ****** camera chose that moment to decide not work (and it's a new one, too! ), and I got (gently) told off by Rufus for not being able to work Nell's either but maybe there will be some pics later.......

Great to hear that you got to see it again and talked to Rufus, too! In case he needs a German teacher, I'll be happy to pitch in for a few private lessons!

Yay well done Ophelia and BP on getting tickets! Well if I thought the first night was good last night was absolutely flamin awesome! Everything was spot on perfection . Now if they can just get the furniture to behave . The beds split apart at one point and I was concerned Alice would fall down the middle . Lovely to chat to Rufus after the show. He was an absolute gentleman as always. My camera operator was playing up so Rufus took a selfie of us . What a great way to celebrate Chinese New Year! It's the year of the Sheep. Those born in such a year are said to be polite, clever, kindhearted and wise. Guess who was born in the year of the Sheep? What a perfect description!

My camera operator was playing up so Rufus took a selfie of us . That would be me! I'm bagging the credit for how that selfie came about - if I hadn't been such a klutz with the camera, Rufus would never have taken it off me! (And Nell's not complaining, 'cos all the time I was trying to take a pic, Rufus had his arm around her!) Came out well, didn't it?
