Back from Spain after a few days in the sun. Landed at Gatwick late last night. Queuing for the bus to take us to our car and who is queuing too. Still getting over it. A lovely surprise.Rufus said he is looking forward to the play and happy he is back on stage. Happy happy happy. Happy happy happy.    I share your joy. Still buzzing.  so surreal. After years of walking round London, going to galleries, with a photo of Rufus and a sharpie just in case I was lucky to bump into him. Then finally meeting him at the stage door of Old Times and Closer. Bumping into him after landing at Gatwick, late night, pulling suitcases, trying to find the correct stop for the bus to get our car, no make up, tired and find him standing waiting for a bus. Finding out in Spain that Rufus was doing a new play, booking the tickets in Spain. Mandy and Greg, who came with Mr O and myself, know how much I have adored Rufus for over 20 years. It was Mandy, as we arrived at the bus stop, who whispered to me that was Rufus. As his back was to me, I said no. Because it did not seem possible that it could be him. Rufus turned round, and I was totally shocked. I said hello Mr Sewell and he gave a huge smile. We talked about the play and Rufus said it looks like it is going to be a while for the bus. Mr O said that I had already booked tickets for the play. He replied that was quick. Mandy asked Rufus could she take a photo of us both. Now some of you know I am a short person and as he put his arm round me, he suggested that he better come down to my level. It is the only time I wish a bus was not coming. Finally the bus arrived and we said goodbye. Told Rufus see you at the stage door and Rufus smiled, his gorgeous smile and said See you there.  A perfect moment. Still pinching myself and looking forward to December. |
