Yes. I didn't expect that "shocker". I still need to finish the series. Haven't had the time to sit down to enjoy it.

We're so used to binge-watching shows like this where all of the episodes are available at once. This season, I think we should watch it slowly. Allow us to savor it and wonder about what it all means.

I finished it yesterday. Mixed reviews but I enjoyed it. Some of the story lines were better than others. Some shockers. RS amazing as always. I think John Smith just needs a hug.

Watched episodes 6 & 7 this weekend. I agree Kygal, some of the story lines are more than a bit meh. One character I'm getting really tired of is Robert Childan. He seems to be acting in ways no normal, sane person would act. I mean, there was a REASON he and Ed fled to the neutral zone, and all he seems to want to do is go back to San Francisco. and all the same Kygal, I'm not sure I'd want to hug John Smith. But I did agree when his wife told him he was the most dashing man she knew.

Finished season 3 yesterday and have to say the season ended on quite a cliffhanger. I'm beginning to feel sorry for John Smith, he seems to be a man who made a deal with the devil and is now realizing he can't control the situation. Although there was a bit of a hint that maybe he wasn't always on the up and up. TMITHC asked if he was the Liuetenant John Smith the men whispered about. Intriguing. Driving me crazy to realize we have who knows how long to wait for season 4.
I thought it interesting that Amazon says it's one of the most popular of their streaming series, but it gets almost no press.

I agree, Rachel. Rufus has always commented in interviews that he doesn't think John Smith is evil. He does things to protect his family, etc. John Smith to be bordering on that line now.

I think of John Smith as amoral. As long as it's good for him and his family, he's fine. He doesn't see it as good or evil, just "is it good for me and mine?" I think his problem is that he's only now realizing that he has a tiger by the tail and he can't let go or control it.

Rachel, I am afraid to comment more without giving spoilers. I do think the ending shows him overstepping a boundary. I really hope we get some knowledge of what he did during WWII that people were whispering about Lt. John Smith.

Agree about the spoilers - the ending has me very impatient for season 4.

I agree. He will do anything to save himself and his family. He is conflicted. He is brutal at times. You know when he is struggling with what is going on around him. Bring on season 4!
