Hi, everyone---I JUST saw the movie Amazing Grace. In a scene at the toward the end Rufus said something and he almost had a slight German accent. THEN I REMEMBERED: I saw him in a movie where he played a WWII German officer in a brief but poignant scene. Could someone PLEASE tell me what this movie was? It doesn't show in his bio's. I want to go to sleep but CAN'T until I know....can you relate?

Hello lilnizzie,
Do you recall any other actors in the movie?

German? My minds drawing a blank there. What about his Norwegian Fortibras in Hamlet or his slight Irish-American accent in A Savage Land? Or maybe she's thinking of Joaquin Phoenix in something--Ha, ha--I couldn't resist!! But seriously, I bet she's thinking of his role in the Illusionist--that's gotta be it.

BTW--Rufus' Crown Prince Leopold in the movie The Illusionist is Austrian, an accent very similar to German--Is that the role you are thinking of?
