Hey good eye I think the Moon is a major boo boo that could have easily been done correctly. I failed to notice it cause Rufus wasn't on it, the moon I mean. As for the plates, etc. there are many such inconsistancies, but in the making of they said that they combined several different centuries etc.

Oh, And don't forget to check out Helen of Troy, let me know if I wasn't specific enough! Ree, you said periwinkle, didn't you? If I'm seeing what you saw, it appeared white to me. I'd say very pale periwinkle. Mind you, they were very sheer - so I reckon they were ladies' knickers! ;D ( Ree, this was very hard to spot, the scene was so quick - you weren't kidding when you said you slowed down all his scenes, were you? LOL) And, quoll, have you checked out this oopsie and the Dangerous Beauty one yet???

Hard to spot maybe but worth the effort I'd say...nice upper thighs too BTW I take it you've seen what he was wearing at the beginning of Dark City? Yes.... ? I just received a copy of the Platinum DVD that was recently released. (I already had it in video). I really like the movie too. I can't believe that Uke hasn't even seen it yet. Maybe she doesn't know what he was wearing ;D

Sorry, when I think of birthday suits I think of little boys
I take it you haven't seen it, yes he is naked. I read an interview a while ago where Ruf is saying "Yeah, first day on the set & I'm naked in front of all these strangers & I keep telling them, this water is really cold you know, I'm serious it is COLD water" You know, the shrinkage effect of cold water?? Anyway it won't matter to you, cause we aren't privy to that part of his anatomy! Darn it anyway. ;D

Oh, yes, I have seen it (oh, boy, yes...) It's that cultural divide thing again - "birthday suit" here can refer to someone of any age in the nude, not just little boys! And what a nice one of them Rufus has!

Birthday suit means anyone of any age in the nude here, too. I've never associated it with any particular gender/age group.

Where did you find a copy of the Platinum DVD? I'd heard one was available but haven't found it. I have an older DVD with no extras. Dark City was my true introduction to Ruf and what an opening scene This is an amazing movie, good sci-fi and fantastic acting by the whole cast.

I picked one up on ebay - new and including shipping for less than $10 a couple months ago, there are always quite a few of them listed there.

Dark City has its own website, www.darkcity.com. I read an article about a year ago that there may be a Director's Cut version which was supposed to be released in 2006. Obviously that did not happen. It is supposed to contain previously cut scenes and be presented as Alex Proyas intended. I cannot find the article which was written by Roger Ebert who absolutely loves this movie. Recently I was searching for information on the Director's Cut and came across an online petition for fans to sign which is directed to New Line Home Entertainment. You can read the content of the petition at this link: www.petitiononline.com/drkctyse/petition.html
