I've always said ever since In a Savage Land, that orange was his color.

Wonder how many sittings he had to take to get just that look?

If I had his mail address I could send him the link. But I haven't. Seriously spoken: I guess he knows. I don't think an artist could use a name without permission, can he?

You're not a heathen, GE2, you just tell it like it is. This is a load of pretentious old toss. And speaking as someone who spent most of Friday in the Tate Modern, I consider myself an expert on the subject. But Banksy is a top man.

That is just too too funny. ;DSomehow I find the paint run on the left-hand side rather insulting. I think Rufus deserves better than to be depicted as having a runny streak

Thank you, Ruthy!
I spent an afternoon in the Tate Modern just before Christmas, and spent most of the time muttering "Emperor's new clothes, emperor's new clothes" - so precious!

Well then I'm a heathen too.............I don't get it, why would anyone throw paint on canvas and call it art? And call it Rufus Sewell? Granted, I don't know much about art, but geez, and no offense here, but my dogs could do THAT!

Actually abstract art is one of the most difficult to produce (in my opinion) because you have to be it, see it, feel it, know it. I actually like that piece. I have no idea why the name but it is my opinion that the piece is beautiful. It has dimension, layers depth, fissures - it sounds like the total essence of Rufus. I can't do abstract art - its probably why I admire those who can.

Frankly, it looks to me like someone's dog DID 'do' that. Albeit artistically......

The only thing good about the run on the paintin on the left side is that it now symbolizes Ru is having a "run" of good luck.
Sorry, it's late, and I'm getting a little punchy, but what the hell. I don't get it either. Anything that gets Ru some attention is great, I am just not a connoisseur of modern art.

Tinkerdog, I agree, I like it also. It is beautiful.
I do like the orange-purple colours and the contrasts and everything. It's sexy, this painting.
