I love this one... " More amusing turns include Rufus Sewell playing a radical linked to the French Revolution, a role which allows him to wear a haircut that threatens to kill off his typecasting as a courtly lover;" from this blog: www.britishfilmmagazine.com/reviews.html

You notice it says the wig just threatens to kill off his looks, it doesn't say it suceeds! Don't tell Rufus, but he's still better looking than most men even with that horrible wig!

I have no reason to suspect a false nose on Thomas Clarkson, nor have I read anything to that effect. Rai

I've been informed the wig makes his nose look funny, that it isn't a prosthetic nose. I think my blonde roots are showing again today. (*sigh*) Sorry guys. You'll get used to my occasional airhead ways.

I noticed on more than one occasion it appeared as if Rufus was wearing a fake bum. I demand we are allowed to see it next time to make sure it's real.

Those of you who have been around ages like me might remember that, while filming Dangerous Beauty, Roof was said to keep one of those tiny little portable fans and a pack of ciggies in his enormous cod-piece (which got bigger and bigger as his Venetian status rose). G xo

If that is even possible, I'm not even sure I want to know how he did that!

Those of you who have been around ages like me might remember that, while filming Dangerous Beauty, Roof was said to keep one of those tiny little portable fans and a pack of ciggies in his enormous cod-piece (which got bigger and bigger as his Venetian status rose). And I have to tell you that every time I watch DB that anecdote comes rushing back to me. Then I have to spend the rest of the picture trying studiously take no notice so I don't start laughing uncontrollably. As a matter of fact, I was watching it the other day thinking you could probably get more than a pack of cigarettes and a tiny fan in that thing. There should be room for a snack, one of those small packs of tissues, a compass and some mad money if you cared to give it a try.

Me, too! Somehow I missed hearing the story about the cod-piece! It's time for another viewing (of the movie, of course! ;D )

IMHO, I don't doubt that Rufus said his cod-piece was big enough to store those things, but I know no man brave or foolish enough to have turning blades near his "special friend". As for the cigarettes, I can't imagine he'd want to smoke anything flavored with essence of Rufus. ;D I have to admit I didn't even notice he had a cod-piece so it was wasted on me. I usually can't take my eyes off his face, so unless he's naked, I'm probably gonna miss it!
