Taming of the Shrew:
"You can pump me up as much as you like." (wish he would say that to me in person, :-)

yeah? And what would you say?
(after I stopped laughing I might be able to speak, but that would probably be a good long while...)

Not the most delicate of comments, that one...actually, I seem to recall that Petruchio offered to pump Kate up.

Delicate, no. Hilarious, absolutely. Would love to hear a comeback for that question!

lol! one of those things only to be said on film. In seducing a virgin I doubt it would get you much of anywhere. But of course at that point Petruchio is into the taming part and not so interested in the actual seduction. I often have to remind myself that was adapted by a women-- a women that had a brilliant grasp of the original play, actually. and once agains a sly jibe from Rufus sending up his film reputation as a genteel and delicate lover... no one sends up Rufus like Rufus sends up himself.

yeah? And what would you say? LOL...oh it's not what I would say, it's what I WOULD do! With that thought, I'll leave it to you, my fellow Sewellettes' imagination or lewd thoughts if you will. ;D

Now, I was thinking of that beautiful speech he gives at the end of Illuminata, but on imdb all that came up was this:
Marco: Do you think masturbation is a sin? Dominique: Depends on where the other hand is.
I so want to see this again...

Whitelilacs, where does your fa-a-a-bulous photo of Roof come from...don't think I've seen it before.

Whitelilacs, where does your fa-a-a-bulous photo of Roof come from...don't think I've seen it before. It may be a while before WhiteLilacs returns. She drops in sporadically. It's from Helen of Troy, near the end. This screen cap from the website is taken in a slightly different spot but it's similar. It looks as if hers has been photoshopped and turned into an avatar--

Yeah I'm with you 7S. Grown-up Roof beats baby Roof every time for me. (and then there is this beard fetish that I have...)

And then there's the chest hair fetish....hahahhahaa...I'm not even into chest hair but this picture makes me feel like I am. LOL Oh he's so delicious in this picture. That look is priceless. If that's not a CFM look, I don't know what is.

Me too. Not usually keen on face fungus, but it really suits Rufus. I also LOVE to see that big chest in all its glory. I especially love the scene in Charles II when he's in bed with Barbara Villiers after they've just made love and she's whining about something or other as usual and he's displaying that gorgeous broad chest (screencaps on roofsewell.com). He's so much sexier with a bit of weight on him. He'd probably hate me saying it but I even love his little double chin
