Umm, hi! I've been sort of lurking here on another computer for a few weeks and only recently joined a few minutes ago. Everyone seems really nice, so I thought I should join so I could keep up with further RS news and be able to join in on the fun. I had seen Dark City quite some time ago and around 2005-ish I started to see many more movies with Rufus in them. (TI, T&I, TKT, and DB.) I only recently (around.... maybe March) found out who he was. I knew his name and all that jazz but didn't really know who he was or where he came from. So even though I was aware of him for quite some time I only recently found *about* him. Very, very brilliant actor and very good-looking ! So I just thought I'd post and kind of introduce myself, so anyways..... hi!! ... Oh, and I like this banana -----> XD

Welcome appledapple, from one former lurker to another! Several of us first saw Rufus in DC, though I caught it on late nite TV just a couple of years ago. Have you been to www.roofsewell.com or http://www.aboutrufus.com.? They are two must see sites for admirers of his work.

Yep, the banana's awesome. And thanks for welcoming me, that's really nice. I haven't seen all of his movies or even half, but my favorite of the five or so I've seen is Tristan & Isolde. It was just such a powerful performance, and I absoloutley loved the movie itself. How about yours?

Just thought to mention - if you are in US, you do know that Taming of the Shrew is about to be released??? That may rise to be a favourite if any of the rest of us are to go by! Next week I think it is.

Welcome to the group, appledapple! Glad to have you join us. Tristan and Isolde is one of my favorites, as well. Another favorite is Charles II -- don't miss that one. Rufus is on screen almost the entire film and he's brilliant!

How about yours? You'll find a lot of fans of T+I here. I'm definitely one of them. Favorites vary. I think Charles II is one of my very favorites. It seems to always make the list. At Sachem Farm is another because I like the message and it's just left of center enough to appeal to me. I'm not a big fan of romCom. Okay, I hate it, but something about this one just tickles me. I like Rufus very much in Victory though I'm not keen on the film. Same goes for Amazing Grace. I find him brilliant in that role and for me nearly the only saving virtue of the film. Illuminata is another of my faves... Okay, I'll stop now and let someone else speak.

I've been trying to get TOTS on the computer for a while. I saw a little clip of it on youtube, the part where they're on the elevator, but I can't find much more. I found two pretty big files that are supposedly the movie, and I'm still trying to get those. They're more than half-way done but I had no idea it was coming out in the US. I'll definitely be sure to get it, thanks! And I haven't seen Charles II, I know what it's about, but I have no clue what happens in it.

there is a fairly good sized clip from TOTS in our Clip of the Month Archives on our website: www.roofsewell.com/NTM03.htmlYou'll also find one from Charles, one from T+I and one from Dirty Weekend. www.roofsewell.com/CLPMTH.htmand the featured clip this month is from At Sachem Farm. And when you've watched all of those you'll find a clip of the extras from TOTS in Multimedia.

Hey, appledapple, welcome!
You have got SO much to see and enjoy - my favourites are Charles II (the first role I saw him in), At Sachem Farm (called Higher Love here, sometimes called Uncorked), Dangerous Beauty (The Honest Courtesan here) and Illuminata.
Oh,and I am really looking forward to Vinyan next year, too.
Great to have you with us,
GE2
