........because they did buy me one of those Oscar statues that says World's Best Mom.......they hid it and gave it to me for my birthday! And yes, I display it proudly! That's great mcr. Your girls added meaning back to the piece of metal. I've read some of the oscar winners put theirs in bathrooms and some don't remember where they put them. Welcome Back erb! Unlike Maxx, I can be a beach bum any day. Give me a good book and a few bottles of water and sunscreen, I'm good for a long weekend. However, I'd love to do all the walking around and checking out all the location famous sites and sounds. Not a history buff, but I do enjoy knowing a bit about the places I visited. I'd been to LA a few times on business and didn't have the time or desire to do the tourist things. But I hope to take a pleasure trip back there just to check out all the hot spots. I'll need you to help me set up an itinerary. It's great that your friend has you as the tour guide. I know my best time in all my travellings are with friends who either are natives or very familiar of my destinations. I ended up seeing what really counts and not waste time in tourist traps.

You just don't sound interested in the typical Hwood toursity things. You'd probably be interested in the Adamson house for the workmanship, gorgeous tile, beautiful gardens, ocean view and the historic lagoon its located on. You just wouldnt' care whether it were in Malibu or not as a tourist would. Yeah, Malibu is a sink hole of overpriced restaurants and spoiled celebrities--at least on the LA side. Now the Northern side is pretty. And I'll out myself. I don't care about touristing on the breach because I live on the beach which I do love. It's about the only tolerable place to live in LA this time of year.

Yeah, Malibu is a sink hole of overpriced restaurants and spoiled celebrities--at least on the LA side. LOL. I avoid those places like the plague, no matter where they are in SoCal. I have no interest in hanging out where the rich and famous do. One of the things I like about the Adamson House is that I *can* enjoy the beautiful scenery in Malibu ('cause it IS pretty) without have to associate with the local rich riff-raff. ;D Very true. There are less houses trying to impress the world and more unmolested pretty scenery. As I recall, Leo Carillo Beach *is* on the Northern (Ventura County) side. There are also a few other beaches nearby where one can enjoy the scenery in peace, which can't be said for most of the beaches in LA County. And I'll out myself. I don't care about touristing on the breach because I live on the beach which I do love. It's about the only tolerable place to live in LA this time of year.
