I love Shivaree, and yes, I'm obscure...sometimes... Million Miles (Bob Dylan) Now my favourite song, but it's not English (if you guessed it right, I'll translate if you want me to): Porque yo en el amor soy un idiota que ha sufrido mil derrotas, que no tengo fuerzas para defenderme pero ella casi siempre se aprovecha unas veces me desprecia y otras veces lo hace para entretenerme y es así............

ok, another hint: the title of the song means (in English) "A plenty of stars"

It's the story of a man who has lost his one and only love, but not by a stroke of fate. No, she's gone, now loving another man. And the narrator had suffered that before and didn't learn anything. For he's still longing for her although he knows that she's poison in his veins. He's fighting against his own heart, and this battle cannot be won because she's still and forever his love, but his longing for her is like grasping after stars (oh, such a ambiguity...). In the chorus he says that he's an idiot in things concerning love because he has lived through that hell thousands of times and nevertheless just can follow his heart.
Isn't it ROMANTIC???
It's "Un montón de estrellas" by Polo Montanez

It's still my turn, isn't it?
"Dance, an aphrodisiac Women gyrating, simulating sensual acts To stimulating muical tracks I thought was just gon' com out tonight & get a brew & relax But no! Uh uh, when you're the party starter It's like you're on call, yo're what the doctor ordered It's like you gotta block the borer tothe door & shock em when it's boring...."

America (West Side Story) Another of my beloved songs: "Rusted brandy in a diamond glass Everything is made from dreams Time is made from honey slow and sweet Only the fools know what it means...." By the way: Fraces, don't worry about me only because I'm loving this kind of music, I don't even identify with there fools...

Protection (Massive Attack)
...which isn't that much my favourite kind of music...
...better the following...
"And I don't need no fake friends, broke ties, loose ends There they go niggaz is at it again Tryin to befriend the nigga that they claim they love, but hate so much And really all we got is us But f--k it, it's the same way they f----d me"

Mass Destruction (Faithless) Cannot remember I ever heart a JaRule-song with a deeper sense, by the way. But it's great music ... if it accompanies your workout! Now something softer: "Our battles they may find us No choice may ours to be But hold the banner proudly The truth will set us free"

again a problem of my language barrier: I ment: I have never heart a song of JaRule which had a sense/was profound. The "deeper" is a german comparison which is often connected with sense in the meaning of "profound = deep sense (in the german denotation)". Thank you for your question, before you asked me that, I had not been aware of this problem.
But it's your turn.

Hidden place (Björk)
Do you like Björk? Honestly spoken: She always scares me in a certain way.
"I am made of you You are made of me And everything you are Is what I'm meant to be I am made of you You are made of me And everything I am Is what you made of me..."

West of Rome (Vic Chesnutt)
I'm childish, too, sometimes anyway, but Björk seems to be more than awkward at times, almost deranged...
"The one you warned me all about The one you said I could do without We're in an awful mess, and I don't mean maybe - please"

"Comme je suis libre" by Cranes
"I'd build a big tall house with rooms by the dozen, Right in the middle of the town. A fine tin roof with real wooden floors below. There would be one long staircase just going up, And one even longer coming down, And one more leading nowhere, just for show."

Love Minus Zero (Bob Dylan)
"Gods are laughing of me, but I was blind Like Horus, which gives me his sign She kiss me deep with her roses like lips My heart stop beating, I cannot breath..."
