Okies... here we go:
Eleventh Hour Criminal Minds Most Evil (documentary- criminal profiling) MythBusters CSI NY CSI Miami Eureka Bones House Life on Mars Life The Mentalist Heroes Flashpoint NCIS Ghost Whisperer Warrior Women reruns of Charmed occasionally Dr Phil occasionally Nova science documentaries if I enjoy the topic CTV News BBC World News
How often I watch these depends on how busy I am doing other things though- the exception being Eleventh Hour which I make sure I have time for.
I really miss Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Joss' humour was great. I'm not too crazy about his new show Dollhouse.
EDIT: Forgot Sancuary and True Blood. I just received the entire series of Moonlight on dvd.

Besides "Eleventh Hour", I watch "CSI" and "CSI:NY"; I've never been able to get into "CSI:Miami". David Caruso just annoys me too much. I also love "Criminal Minds", "48 Hours Mystery" and I'm positively addicted to the "Dateline: To Catch a Predator" series. That and "Cops" are my guilty pleasures! I work for DishNetwork satelite tv but I only have an over the air antennae at the moment since my landlord isn't really crazy about having a dish screwed onto the outside wall and I absolutely refuse to deal with the local cable company in this area because their customer service is so bad.
Another favorite show of mine that is no longer on the air and has become a cult classic is "Mystery Science Theater 3000". I won't try to explain it because I can never do it justice and you have to see it to really get what it's all about. I recommend checking out some of the dvd episodes that are out there.
I also love the adult swim line-up on Cartoon Network, although now I have to wait for the shows to come out on dvd to see them. "Robot Chicken" and "Tim and Eric's Awesome Show, Great Job!" are two of my favorites.

Ooooo...TeeVee....
I actually only have a couple of shows that I watch religiously...
CSI: Las Vegas - Will always be my favorite. No comparison. Even with half the original cast gone, it still is the best damn show on televison.
Eleventh Hour - Uh...the writing is what puts this below CSI. But Rufus ensures that it makes my list.
Survivor - Good season so far, I like that they are putting in twists and turns to make it a little fresh.
Amazing Race - This show will never get old. It's always a hoot to watch newlyweds crumble and natives laugh at us crazy Yanks.
Intervention - It's corny, part of it is staged IMO but it still is a good watch. Makes me realize my life ain't that bad...I love watching it with a drink in my hand...lol
Super Nanny - I Heart JoJo!! That woman needs to visit my neighbors....would do them a world of good.
Wife Swap - Sometimes they are boring, but sometimes they are a kick in the butt to watch.
Top Chef - I love it that these people can be reality show stars and not be supermodel hot. They are talented and interesting to watch. Plus Tom Collichio is a hotty mctotty...
Shows of Old....
Babylon 5 - There are no words to describe how much I miss this show. The 5th season kinda sucked...but I'd still sell my left boob to have it come back with the original cast intact.
ER - Yes it's still on...but nowhere near the caliber that it once was. As soon as Noah Wylie left, there was really no reason to watch it anymore. Actually as soon as Dr. Greene died, it started it's downward spiral. Too many young turks trying to be the "leaders" I mean Archie Morris as ER Chief? Come on...and John Stamos as the resident hunk? He has about as much hunkiness as a wet rag.
There are more, but I'd go off on a tangent if I listed them....*coughthresholdandwomensmurderclubcough*

I don't watch much TV and what I do watch tends to be pre-recorded on my DVR. I watch a lot of old movies and TV series via Netflix, though!
My current TV favorites:
True Blood (Love the series! Loved the books!) The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (I don't care who the guests are, I watch it for Craig!) The Graham Norton Show (I would love to see Roof as a guest on this show! LOL!) No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain Antiques Roadshow History Detectives The Tudors (HBO) Good Eats with Alton Brown
I've recently enjoyed watching the Hamish Macbeth TV series via Netflix. I loved the books this series was based upon and the series is great, too.
I'm looking forward to the new HBO series "Hung" starting at the end of this month. Looks like it will be quite entertaining.

Season 3 of The Tudors just finished in May on HBO. I don't know when it'll be released on DVD. True Confession Time: I haven't even finished watching Season 3 yet. I've got the final 5 episodes sitting on my DVR waiting for me to watch them. I didn't like this season as much as the first two and my interest is flagging!

Anybody here watch "Raising The Bar"?
|
|
|
Post by pitzel on Jun 26, 2009 6:06:19 GMT
Yes...we just got satellite TV and I am discovering all these new and very interesting shows. I like Raising the Bar...Nip/Tuck is weird but its worth it just to see Julian McMahon. I also like ...In Plain Sight, Royal Pains , And Saving Grace. Since network TV is now mostly repeats and stupid game and reality shows, I am enjoying catching up on all the cable shows I never got to watch. I also think Leverage is a good show. I am looking forward to its new season later in July.

actually, with the recent events in my personal life, the demise of E.H., the departure of Grissom from CSI, and the end of the House, MD season, i hardly watch tv anymore. last monday, a friend ended a phone convo because she "had to see Monk", an episode was beginning right then. i turned on the tv and laughed out loud over the antics of the OCD-stricken, sweetly weird detective and his pals. it was a pretty good tv hour.

Have you not watched Monk before, Tip? If not, try to catch episodes from the early seasons, which I thought were better. I preferred his first assistant, and even though the mysteries were not terribly challenging, I thought they were plotted a bit better. But I still love the show and am looking forward to its new (and final) season starting in Aug.
If you can get USA Network, have you seen Burn Notice? There are a lot of explosions and bikinis to entertain the boys, but its all very tongue in cheek and witty and the actors have fabulous chemistry.

Tip, I don't find anything to watch right now but my library has 5 seasons of Entourage, which makes me twitter, and I enjoyed the 2 seasons of Mad Men I saw.
