I've been pondering what might be an acceptable contest for the autographed program from the first night of Rock 'n' Roll and I've decided to make it easy. All that will be required is attention to detail and some Rufus viewing. I know, I know, it's a sacrifice but if you want the program, you'll have to make it. ;D So here is what you have to do: Tell me where each of the characters in each of Rufus Films (Only Films) hails from. Be as specific as you are able. If the accent tells you something, then tell me so. The person who turns in the most accurate list first will win the program. I'm going to let this run for a bit because it's a lot of viewing. Let's try to get it tied up so I can post the prize before I head off to OZ, so lets say we will finish on Wednesday November 14 at midnight GMT. happy rufus viewing...  |

I can tell you I don't know the answer. I was pondering where Mick was from as I was typing the contest and wondering if he ever said. And Dominique. I know they tell a bit about his history but I can't remember if they say what he's doing in this troupe of Americans. And how about John Murdock? Of course the Shakespeare is easy because you can look it up...

It's set in NY around the turn of the last century, and presumably they have Italian names because John Tuturro wrote it and he's an Italian American.
Half the people in NY have Italian last names if that's the only thing you were basing the locale upon.
It's clear in the extras where and when it is set and probably a little searching online can turn something further up.
Dominique is a complete mystery however. It's a very curious name for someone British. But if you've never seen it they make fun of him because of "classical European training"
I love this picture. It's some of my favorite work of Rufus'. If you haven't happened across it yet there is a clip in the multimedia section of the website, of the last scene.

 -you started quite a challenging competition- the prize is worth trying but I have to refuse-still haven't managed to watch all Rufus's films  besides my little daughter wouldn't let me spend that much time watching Rufus ,not her -haha...but i'll cheer for you all! let the best win  |

I know we have a few folks from Michelle's yahoogroup that are playing as well, but it's a lot of viewing if you haven't seen them recently.
