Patti Lupone is stiff competition... and she has a better voice.
seriously, it's nice to have a luncheon and invite them all. But giving Patti Lupone another award can hardly be taken seriously, can it?

I've seen her perform once before in Anything Goes many years ago, she made me cry; her voice then was so pure and she is an amazing talent but she does have a tendency to overact just a bit. I'd like to see the award go to Kelli O'Hara. My feeling is Lupone will win.

she did win. Patti Lupone, that is. I don't deny she's a great talent but giving her another award is... I mean what's she going to do with them, use them as doorstops?  Imagine he is tired. Lot of stuff going on this week. |
