twitchfilm.net/archives/005661.htmlGong Li: Edgar P. Jacbos' The Yellow M to begin filming Back in 2002 at the Venice Film Festival actress Gong Li reported that she would be filming an adpatation of a classic comic strip by Belgian Edgar P. Jacobs titled Blake et Mortimer. Filming has been held off since now but word is that filming will begin soon. The Yellow M will be an adventure/thriller centering on MI5 agent Blake and physicist Mortimer who fight evil in 1950s London.
Gong Li is currently filming Zhang Yimou's Wearing Golden Armor Across the City. Gong Li will play the role of Dr. Li Mei, a scientist whose intelligence is matched only by her icy beauty [and HOW!!!]. Filling in the roles of Blake and Mortimer will be Rufus Sewell and Hugh Bonneville [Notting Hill and Iris].
The source of that story is here, dated 4 April 2006: english.cri.cn/349/2006/04/04/60@71073.htmThe question is, is the Twitch story just a rehash of the rumoured casting from a few years ago, or is it recent info that Rufus is attached? My gut feeling is they've just dug into what was said before and are presenting it as "new". According to IMDB (status updated 3 June) it's now called "The Yellow Mark", and David Thewlis is "rumoured" to be Mortimer instead of Hugh Bonneville, but no mention of who's playing Blake and no mention of Gong Li. John Malkovich is also "rumoured" to be attached. Something to keep an eye on, just in case?

I think Rufus will be pretty busy with Eleventh Hour. I'd be surprised if it was him.

Looks like there is a rumour that Ken Branagh will be in this - called the Yellow Mark I believe.
Ah well, and Rufus missed the Devil's Whore too as I see that is being broadcast as well now.
