Paul Newman died on Friday of lung cancer.
There aren't many people in the public eye whose passing makes me cry, but his did. He starred in some of the most enjoyable films I've ever seen, amd although he may not have been the world's greatest actor, he was certainly a great entertainer.
Not only that, what a lovely, genuine, daredevil, down-to-earth man he was, and I'm truly sorry the world has lost him.
R.I.P., Mr Newman.
