I watched the tv interview the night I joined the boards! It was great! Some good laughs for sure too. And that critique article was quite nice. Thanks for the link!

Dear Miss- My thoughts exactly, that Rufus' his wonderful reputation as an extremely talented movie and stage actor, I can't fathom why (other NBC & ABC than not wanting to give publicity to a competing network show) they haven't booked him on Jay, Conan, Jimmy or Dave's shows. Especially Letterman- the same network as 11th hour--there's no excuse! Not to mention with Jay Leno being the film buff that he protests to be...you would think he'd have booked Rufus already--sheesh. An actor with Rufus' experience and varied resume would be sooo much more interesting to interview (one would think) than the typical 19 yr old skinny-assed chick who's previous work experience prior to HER new show was limited to the odd high school play and two years waitressing at Hooters. But if the demographic of who watches the show says that short-skirted guests bring in the most ad dollars, well, maybe our boy can fish out his old TOTS plaid mini, go-go boots & fishnets and give 'em a run for the money. We all know he's got the best legs in the business!--Ha, ha, ha.

Rufluvr, I've read that Rufus doesn't particularly like doing chat-shows (he hasn't done any in the UK that I'm aware of, and rarely does any live interviews), so it could be that he's been asked but has refused.

David Letterman is mean spirited and there'd be no reason for him to appear. Letterman used to be funny when his show ran in the mornings, like 9am, many, many years ago. Now he likes to see his guests squirm, it's like watching a perpetual 9 year old playing practical jokes on the unsuspecting. Just plain not funny.

If what you read is true, Green Eyes, that would explain it. Although I have to say, with Rufus being the engaging and personable person he is, that is surprising to me. Not surprised that maybe he doesn't like doing them (he is, after all, a genuine, straight-shooting type of chap who I could see not liking, the, uh, shmooshiness them) but that he wouldn't do them anyway for his fans or at the behest of his producer to help promote the Eleventh Hour. That doesn't sound like him, if you ask me. I am glad that he did at least do Craig's show so far. Lucky us. I guess a Rufus luver like myself can get a teensy bit greedy at times, and I wish he'd do more of those shows, because it's the closest most of us will get to seeing his natural wit and personality. (I know, I know, talk shows are part of the business, and not exactly a natural relating situation, whatever, so bite me-it's the closest we've got)
