good for you! no doubt something to do with your media type job? anyway - when can the rest of us see this one? any idea of release date? not a rom-com fan, but will obviously be going to see it anyway....it all feels SUCH an anti-climax after RnR though.

According to imdb.com, it comes out on December 8 in the UK and US. it all feels SUCH an anti-climax after RnR though. Ha ha, I suppose it would after RnR but here is to Pastures New! Let's hope good things will come from RnR...

It looks as if the Holiday is even making it to Aus without too much delay! Wonders will never cease!

I cannot wait for this movie to come out! I remember seeing the trailer for it when my friends and I went to see THE LAKE HOUSE I jumped (kinda) for joy!!!! My friends thought I was nuts.

My husband just informed me today that he will absolutely NOT go with me to see "The Holiday", nor will he go see "The Good Year" with me! He has really liked Rufus in the films he's seen (he loves Dark City), but he doesn't like "chick flick love stories romantic comedies". So I guess I'll be seeing this one alone or with my daughter!

Okay I will go with you Michelle, but after I see Rufus in his 3 seconds I will probably go off to another theater & watch something else. Out of protest for the casting in this one.

There's a huge poster up in our local cinema advertising this one so I'll not have to far to go to see it. No image of Rufus alas, but it's always nice to see his name in print.
Will have trouble persuading anyone to acconpany me I think! There's going to have to be some very persuasive arm-twisting......

Actually, Britfan, I may go with you to the other theater!!! I love Kate Winslet, but I'm not a big Cameron Diaz fan, nor am I a big Jude Law fan (he's ok, just not great in my book).........although seeing Kate with Jack Black does look pretty funny!

I totally agree Michelle, Jack is really quite funny. I just can't help but think that Roof COULD have played Jude's part, however, & Jude - Roof's. I mean Jude would be playing more close to his own persona, by playing the cheating boyfriend. LOL ......& Bagheera, I have been watching the trailers for The Holiday & there is absolutely NO mention of Rufus, & in the scene where they show him his head was turned away from the camera! What's that all about! He really needs to have a serious talk with his agent & his negotiating abilities. That being said, a reviewer on the Today show stated that The Holiday will be one "holiday" movie that people will WANT to see. That's a good thing I suppose.

They have been advertising the heck out of this here in Canada. Every commercial break they show the trailer with the quick glimpse of his face. All the entertainment shows are featuring it also - almost daily. They must have a huge advertising budget, whereas with The Illusionist I never even saw one trailer on tv.
