Hello Everyone,
I don't know how many of you are on Facebook but I wanted to share something that happened last night.
Someone has a page on there using Rufus's name and last night they became obscene and disrespectful to Rufus's fans. There were 307 fans connected to the page.
They then got very nasty to me, I will not repeat what was said but it was very upsetting.
I sent Rufus a message about this and he responded. Not sure if it was really him but I think it was.
Anyway I have reported it to facebook and hopefully something will be done about it.
How dare anyone do something like this to our Rufus and fellow Rufus fans!!!

Its unfortunate but inevitable that these sites are abused.Glad you are on top of it, Robbie, and taking what steps you could.

Good job, indeed, Laura. As you can tell, Rufus is a good guy and always polite and thoughtful. I feel bad that some of his actual friends are on that bogus page.

As many of you know, it was over 10 years ago that I was the recipient of one of his first-ever emails. Took me a week to be convinced it was the real thing. I haven't understood perfectly...I think we are talking about some "stronzo/a" who said bad things, heavy words. Can we lodge a complaint against this person? Can Facebook do something? This coward can't get away it...e che cazzo!  |

Well, I was on the false site, I wasn't sure if it was Rufus or not, so I took a chance. Imagine my surprise when I saw that "message" pop up, which I resolved by "de-friending" who ever that circus clown is that is impersonating our guy.
I can try and contact Facebook, they are based right down the road from me in Palo Alto, CA, so maybe there's a way to get this bogus site removed.
Great job, RobbieShiek, so impressed you got through to Ru (but not surprising, he's a great guy!).

I am happy to report that the page has been taken down. I did report it to Facebook yesterday and sent them all the info. Not sure if that is what did it or not. But I feel good it is down.  Take care everyone!! Laura |

I saw that page and read the nasty comments that this idiot made. The man needs a life. I was happy to see that the page in fact has been taken down.

I just figured out yesterday that the page is still there they just changed it to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Very weird. There is still some Roof pics there but at least his name is gone.
