Now that is what I call a trailer!
Doesn't it make you wonder how Rufus's work makes it to YouTube when no one seems to know who he is? Well, YouTube may bring him more fame than anyone would expect.
This really made my month - the wait until April isn't so bad now.

I showed this to my DH who is very much in the "life is serious" camp and he actually giggled. He couldn't understand that she got so serious about him being not serious. I guess there really is this huge gulf between men and women - I thought he might get the message <sigh>.
I checked the ending segment on youtube and it had many of the "couples" but I didnt see that it had a Rufus moment other than the mosaic at the end where they just showed a couple of seconds of the end of their scene.

You mean the rest of the movie wasn't in French? I only checked out one other segment but it was all in French so I just assumed.......

Most of it was in French I think. I caught a couple of bits where they were speaking both English and French. Only a month to go before it is supposed to be in Aus with subtitles. Not sure that Canberra will ever get it though, looks to be a very arthouse type movie and we just have the boring chain stuff coming here - eventually!

Amazing, amazing! Thanks for sharing. Ru just never ceases to amaze me with his delicately crafted performance; serious yet with a thread of humor lurking just below the surface.
One question, who's the lucky actress in the piece.
And what a kiss! Almost made the computer screen melt.

Lovely little piece of film...but am I the only one who found Emily Mortimer's character really patronising, sarcastic, and just plain not deserving of mon beau Rufe? (and the fact that I'm insanely jealous of that kiss has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with that observation..... )

Shall we share a saucer of warm milk?

Shall we share a saucer of warm milk? DH thought she was being a bit of a b*tch and couldnt understand why she was going off at him and being all serious and yet knocking him for taking everything seriously. Personally I can relate to how she would have been feeling - dealing with a man who thinks everything is serious can be a bit wearing And I am too insanely jealous of that kiss so will join you in the saucer of warm milk!

I know what I would like to have done with him on Oscar Wilde's final resting place, and I'm quite sure the lovely Oscar would have approved Sorry, I appear to have debased this thread...

I know what I would like to have done with him on Oscar Wilde's final resting place, and I'm quite sure the lovely Oscar would have approved Sorry, I appear to have debased this thread... Knowing Oscar Wilde's sense of humor, he would have probably said something like "Don't mind me, Ruthy, I'd be doing the same thing if I were in your shoes.........." Now I've debase the thread even further. Guess I'll go back to warming up the milk..........
