I saw the trailer on the big screen before The Last King of Scotland last week and I was so happy, I cheered all the way through it I'm so excited about AG. A friend of mine knows the guy who is pretty much in charge of the distribution of the film in the US so he's looking around for screenings near us. And if there is a premiere in NY, he's said he'll get us in. Obviously I'm almost dead from anticipation.

I saw Babel over the weekend & got a chance to see the trailer for Amazing Grace. They were also selling advance tickets for it at the theater (which they only do for movies they expect to do well). It does look REALLY good for those who like historical films. It made me want to see it big time. That being said, I was extremely sad to see that Rufus was on the screen a meer 2 seconds with no dialog & no mention in the credits. I found that to be very disheartening........but the movie does look really good! I hope there is a lot more of him in this, then it would appear from this trailer.

Make that 2.5 seconds as the hands putting the shackles on the table are also most likely his (remember the shackles photo?)

Oops!.....Guess I better go hide that bottle of Jack Daniels again. Now I have to figure out where I saw that scene with Hollander in the powder wig, in a courtroom. Maybe The Libertine?

Possibly, quite possibly. Maybe Pirates?
He's doing a play at the National this summer. I'm soooo there.

I am hoping this has a fairly wide release so that, in three weeks, I can see this on the big screen!

I have wondered if the subtitling work is what prevents some of these movies from getting distributed at the same time. I know that some countrys like China have a screening process before a film is approved to be shown. Curious what determines the dates & locations on the showing of most films that go international.
