I've heard of a 'Merry Gang', but maybe that is a different thing. - And what is that Merry Gang? - Basically it is a collection of English wits, who joined in lewd debauchery: a lot of heavy drinking, a battle of wits often expressed through poetry (limmericks, lampoons or satirical plays) but also in highly philosophical discourse and of course passionate sex. They can also display rowdy behaviour like fighting, even duelling, pulling each others hair during an argument, dropping their pants to deliberately shock people...  - I like it more and more. If that philosophical part is not too boring, I'll want to join them.
