I think if we are all serious about keeping this show on the CBS sked, we as a whole can and should support it in any way we can. This is the link to the official web/fan site for Eleventh Hour. If we post on that site as often perhaps we can sway the minds and suits at CBS. I do know that those boards get read and who knows, it's worth a try. www.cbs.com/primetime/eleventh_hour/

done my homework, peach, on the cbs website
on the thread named FRUSTRATION, a member complains about the show not being picked up for a second season - is that true, BTW?
so i wrote:
"it's got to be renewed, it's got to be improved. the h20 episode was an effort towards what the show should be. AND I WANT TO SEE THIS SHOW AS IT OUGHT TO BE. more of the leads' personal backgrounds, better writing, a bit more suspense. could be the most intelligent show on tv right now, but production is asleep on it. come on! you've got one of the finest actor alive today in rufus sewell, you've got a power house in bruckheimer, you've got a wonderful premise... why not pimp it up a bit, and bring in competent writers? dont let us down, CBS... you have something there. as the man said... build it, and they will come!"

I would go and say something but I can't. I registered and they sent the little email to confirm but it will not let me log in. I can't redo it either and I've even emailed them about it. Totally ignored..not that I'm surprised about it but I am fairly peeved.
I haven't seen or heard anything about it not being picked up. All I have heard is that it is 'taking a break' in April for Harper's Island. Personally I think the 5 episode order they gave is a good indication that it will be back for a second season but I have been wrong before.... Actually I've been wrong quite a bit but we won't talk about that. ; )

I wouldn't think cbs would spend the time and money to do that if they were just going to cancel the show. I mean we're talking money for promos, the cost of dealing with whatever network is going to air it, and possible press junkets by Rufus and/or Marley to promote the show. I know it was mentioned before that "Moonlight" only got an additional 5 episodes and got cancelled. I loved that show and I was disappointed when it got cancelled but not surprised. The ratings went down steadily every week and cbs made no attempt to move it to a better timeslot or do anything to save it. EH has held steady in the ratings and I think we'll see them improve once ER finishes it's run.

I think the fact that five more episodes were ordered is hopeful although CBS scares me sometimes due to past experience. The ratings for Eleventh Hour are much better that Moonlight's ever were unfortunately and I think the CSI lead in is definitely helpful as well. The time slot EH is in is definitely a good one.
I was a fan of Jericho on CBS. The ratings for Jericho were not great but a lot of people were viewing it on the internet which might be one of the reasons shows like Eleventh Hour and the Mentalist are not available to be viewed on the internet in full.
I continue to be hopeful for a second season of Eleventh Hour.
By the way, based on my experiences with other shows, these boards are read by the CBS and the other networks.

I found the following Q&A on the TV Guide website, dated Feb 17th: Originally I posted the whole quote, including a final sentence that has a surprising, unsubstantiated rumor. But then I decided it was best to post just the answer to the renewal part and let anyone who is not afraid of seeing a possible spoiler/rumor to check it out for themselves. So, if you're interested: www.tvguide.com/News/MegaBuzz-24-Heroes-1003005.aspx: I'm not sure what to think about that last line, if it's true!

Probably, I absolutely would if someone else posted it. But I did want to give people the choice. Really, don't look if you don't like to dwell on possibly unfounded rumors. I'm very sorry, Tip. But it's probably more speculation than anything.

about that rumour... was it perhaps planted by cbs itself, to see how people would react? they are not above that. or else, it may be provoked by the new additions to the show... i hate it anyway.
