I actually don't have a real "computer"; I have an msntv2/webtv unit but I do use a wireless keyboard for that which is usually sitting on my lap, just at the knees. This is only my second experience with diverticulitis so it's hard to tell what, if anything, causes the flare-ups. It's a bit frustrating because there's alot of contradictory info out there, especially when it comes to dietary restrictions. Some doctors say avoid certain foods because they'll trigger a flare up, others say there's no correlation between diet and the condition. Thanks for the suggestions; I just happen to have some Celestial Seasons Holiday Peppermint de-caf green tea I bought on sale a couple of weeks go. I'll try a cup of that and see if it helps any. I think this is a case for Dr Hood dont you? Just imagine the implications for the community of wireless laptop infections We could invite him to check and he would get valuable international evidence for the cause!

Sorry it's so miserable for you, quoll. It's just hard for many of us in the US to relate currently, because this has been a terrible winter across much of the country. There's been more snow than in previously recorded history in some places, record low temperatures, blizzards that have knocked out power, and freezes in normally warm places (like Florida) that have ruined crops. But, speaking as someone who lives in an area where winters are bitter cold and summers are swelteringly humid, I know that neither extreme is pleasant.
Not if you're sharing the wet towel with the right person!

Thanks peach. I'm feeling better today, although I didn't make it to work because I'm still having quite a bit of pain but that seems to be subsiding.
Here's a rave you guys will get a kick out of. I've noticed that over the last week when I watch anything with Rufus in it, my cat, Prima, starts watching it too! She has a thing for certain actors; I think it's the voices. If I put anything on with Kevin Spacey in it, she comes into the living room and hops up on my lap to watch too. Now she's doing the same thing with Rufus!

Ok, I've completely lost faith in Hollywood. I'm sure many of you have seen or at least heard of the classic movie "Bonnie and Clyde" starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. Well, there's a remake in the works and who's been signed on to play Bonnie? HILARY FREAKIN' DUFF! I'm not kidding! Are the casting people smoking crack? There was a segment on "Inside Edition" that there's a "feud" between Dunaway and Duff because the former made the comment that they should've "cast a real actress", something I think most sane people would think. Ms. Duff's response was a classy, "Well, if I looked like her, I'd be mad too" and "My fans who will come see me in this probably don't even know who she is anyway." I haven't heard who will be playing Clyde, and quite frankly, I'm not sure I want to know! I wouldn't be surprised if they said it was one of the Jonas Brothers! Either that or they'll cast a leading man who's at least twenty years older than Duff. My only comfort is knowing that more than likely, the critics are going to tear this to pieces and it'll end up in the 99 cent bin at the local sip n' go.

While we are on about rants and raves - nothing I can do about mine but I am sick and tired of the high temps we have been having here in Eastern Aus this week - anyone who says they want to migrate to Aus because of the weather must have rocks in their head - working, living and sleeping in the heat is so much harder than doing the same in the cold. A cool change with a nice thunderstorm is what is required! I think no one is happy this year. You could be in the UK. How are the fires this season? Are they staying contained?

No, I haven't heard yet. Hilary Duff? Surely you jest! Eegads! Alas, I wish it was but a jest. If I had read it in a magazine I would've thought someone's source was unreliable at best or playing a cruel joke at worst. Since it was a tv interview with Duff, I've sadly had to accept it as truth.

Say it aint so ? Hilary Duff, what in hell were they thinking??? Whose playing CLyde, one of the Jonas Brothers??? I think h'wood is has gone completely off its rocker, I can't think of another explanation for this one. Are you quite sure it's true??? We are doomed. Picture this, a remake, better yet a musical remake of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington", in the Jimmy Stewar role, Justin Timberlake; Jean Arthur's part will now be played by Myley Cyrus and the Claude Rain's part will be played by Mark Wohlberg. Makes about as much sense as a reworking of Bonnie and Clyde. Oh brother.

I know, I couldn't believe this when I heard it. It seems to me that Duff looks a bit like Dunaway when she was young, but how stupid to go with someone simply to match the look of the first film's lead. I mean, if you aren't going to try to differentiate it from the first, why even bother?

Yes, evidently Hollywood has decided to market a remake of a violent film about the rise and fall of two of the most infamous criminals who ever lived to the "High School Musical" crowd who probably don't even know the characters are based on real-life people. Now excuse me while re-watch "Dark City" to remind me that there are still intelligent films out there with real actors and hope the fact that such things are a vanishing breed doesn't depress me too much.
