Can't see him spending Christmas without Billy.... Maybe Billy will come to NY.

I can't imagine Amy going for that! Does Ruf have a nanny? I suppose if he does, he could bring Billy for a while. With both him and Alice in the play, they'd have to have someone to take care of the little guy. Don't you know Ruf would be THRILLED to have his son with him for a while?

Jude Law ships his kids all over the world as though they were luggage so who knows, maybe Rufus and Amy will have a nanny or a family member (Rufus' mum?) to take Billy to see dad for a few days. It's not unheard of.

Jude Law has a litter with several different women. I'd assume Rufus and Amy's one production might be precious to them. But of course that doesn't negate your point.
And it's always possible the show will be dark a few days around the holiday's so Rufus can go home to be with his son. That is also not unheard of. It's a short flight to London from NYC.
Is someone planning a trip to NY to see Rock 'n' Roll over the holidays? Is that why we are fretting over Rufus' holiday plans?

Jude Law has a herd with several different women. Actually, Jude Law has three kids with his ex-wife Sadie Frost. Sadie Frost has a son with Gary Kemp who is Jude's stepson but that's it.

so you're saying it's actually Sadie Frost who has the litter?

Litter or not, I'm saying Jude Law has had kids with one woman, not several different women.

We won't be going over the holidays, so it really doesn't matter to me, I just wondered if there would be a way for Ruf to bring Billy over to NYC! I know nothing about theater, but is it not common to have a few days around a holiday for the actors and crew to go home? I guess I just thought theaters all close on Christmas Eve and Christmas day!

From PapermagBroadway Just Can't Get Enough Tom StoppardBy Whitney Spaner Apparently the nine-hour-plus, three-part Coast of Utopia series was not enough Tom Stoppard for theatergoers last season. Broadway is ready for more. They’ve officially announced that his latest play, Rock ‘N' Roll, will move to Broadway after “a record breaking run” on London’s West End this November. And judging by the way Coast of Utopia tickets sold, these tickets will go like hotcakes fresh off the griddle. And it turns out that Rock N’ Roll, which (from the press release) “spans the years from 1968-1990 from the double perspective fo Prague, Czechoslovakia, where a rock ‘n’ roll band comes to symbolize resistance to the Communist regime -– and of Cambridge, England, where the verities of love and death are shaping the lives of three generations in the family of a Marxist philosopher," has a little drama within the drama. Alice Eve, the 24-year-old British actress who stars as a young Alice in the play apparently started dating her 40-year-old co-star Rufus Sewell during the London production. I love this stuff! I can’t wait for them to bring their love affair to the States! Here's a pic of the couple out on the town. They do look happy together! Rufus has been married twice before but you know what they say... "third time's a charm!"

Happy to see the article, but she got both their ages wrong, should be 25 and 39, and she really, really didn't need to mention the divorces. Oh well, maybe a little spice to increase the ticket sales.

Well, Alice looks happy, but Rufus...well, he looks somewhere between grumpy and furious! Still looks mighty fine, though.

Old picture composited together by one of the London tabloids last year when they were trying to out them. There are plenty of pics of Alice and Roof. Beyond me why she chose this tired old thing.

Variety tidbit:
Tom Stoppard noted that "Rock 'n' Roll" would be uncut from the London version when it succeeds the 10-time nominee "The Coast of Utopia" on Broadway next year.

I guess they thought if a Bway audience could sit through a 9 hour series of plays (or was it 10 hours?) They could manage 3 hours all right.
