Also, go to playbill.com and sign up, I'm not 100% sure, but think you might be able to get a deal on Spamalot and other plays if you are a member (no charge to sign up either). Speaking of husbands, mine surprised me (yup! got my Rock "N" Roll tickets through American Express--he got 3rd row center . . . I told him I'd cook him dinners for a month . . . and anything else . . .

You will just love both NYC and seeing a Broadway play, Mcr!! I know we will! We are going to have a great time just being there! Ooooo! I remember loving Michael Nouri! He was so hot! I was in high school and all my friends just loved him........how cool that you got to meet him!

Hubby wanted to try to see "Spamalot" while we were in NYC..........but I've checked a couple of places and the tickets are $200-$285!!!!! Mcr, you will be able to find much cheaper tickets. TKTS on Times Square usually has them and this website is good to check nearer the time: broadwaybox.com/shows/monty_python_spamalot_nyc_tickets.aspxThanks, Uke! I hope we can find cheaper tickets........hubby REALLY wants to see it, and since I'm dragging him to RnR, it would be nice for him to see something special too! I appreciate the info! Michelle

HAHAHA Michelle lol -- he knows I'm just "saying" I'll cook him dinner for a month--we run around so much that he'd be happy if I made him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! . But . . . I am lucky -- and he does know that I love Rufus . . .

So I got to use my boss' AMEX and I am now the proud owner of a ticket to the first preview. I'm also happy to report that although my ticket was expensive, the seat right across the aisle from me is a 'premium seat' and goes for $200+! Madness!!

Great to hear people are getting primo seats--good for you. Not to beat the question to death, but does anyone know how long Rufus has committed to playing the lead? Or where that kind of thing would be posted? Do stars only give like a three month committment, and then they see how the plays doing, and go longer if theres no conflict with other projects they have signed on for? Anybody? Anybody? By the way, I heard they have delayed the beginning of filming of Sex and the City, the movie, per casting negotiations. I understood the leads were all signed. Dare I hope that Sarah Jessica Parker took my suggestion -when I met her in April at a "Lovely" event--to cast Rufus??! I'm not holding my breath. It's probably just another Kim Cattrell setback.

they all look pretty much the same except for the newer ones. Really? I've only been in two and the first one did look "old" and the second you could tell was older from the inside, but still had been modernized.

I haven't been watching, uke. I would think it should be winding up and things should start rolling in the next week or two.
