Nycfan, the chest hair has not just my attention, but my fervent admiration! I've got to get out of this thread or I'll be staring at Ali all day.

Sorry, Famke. Didn't see you there. I was mesmerized by Ali Baba and couldn't look away. Oh, no, I think I'm being drawn in again......

I watched it last night and I wish I'd found this one earlier. I thought it was spectacular. The costumes, the sets, the music (especially in Aladdin) were all amazing! The special effects were meh at some parts, but in others they were great. The writing was fantastic. I love how in the end elements of each tale weave together to form parts of Shahryar's battle. That was very clever and very well done. The acting was spot-on and there was an absolute genius cast. I think this is the most I've ever seen of Dougray Scott and I was impressed. He looks like Gerry Butler at some angles. LOVED Jason Scott Lee as Aladdin and John Leguizamo as the two genies! Miri Avital kept me gripped with the stories just like the real Scherezade would have. I wound up loving all the characters, not just the main ones within each story. Now we come to Rufus. Honestly, can this man get any cuter? I loved Ali. Definitely one of Rufus' most adorable roles. He's so endearing! I thought he looked incredibly sexy at the beginning and for some reason lately I've been admiring how beautiful Rufus' neck is and was given my fill of gorgeous neck-shots throughout the beginning and I would just like to take the time to say thank you to whomever is responsible for this. My eyes and imagination thank you very very much . I remember reading something one of you put somewhere about how well Rufus transforms himself with each role he plays and that's definitely true in this case. You get lost in Ali and forget you're looking at the same man who played Charles, Petruchio, Jacob, Tom, Frank, Adhemar, Thomas, Ross, Dominique, Will, Eric...that, to me is acting at it's absolute best. He's so wonderful in this and his eyes? Amazing. I was a bit disappointed at first that his story was the first one told but following it up with the Bacpac story was genius. It made me want to continue on with the whole thing and in the end (despite it being as long as it is), I wanted them to keep going! I'll watch this one again and again. I really really loved it!

Forgot to add: has Rufus ever said anything more about the role except that Ali Baba isn't the sharpest tool in the shed (or something along those lines)? I was a little disappointed to see that he wasn't interviewed for the DVD bonus features

Nice!
Isn't it lovely how we keep seeing Rufus references everywhere we go?

Sometimes it's scary too. At my workingplace is a man called "Aurelio" and he's one of the friendliest. But he dosen't look like Rufus. I asked him once if he knows "Aurelio Zen", but he doesn't.
