Ooooh, thanks, Tip. What a lovely clip to wake up to.
And thanks, sharman, for the beginning clip.
I just love to listen to him, and what an interesting subject!.
In Britain, "More 4" (is that BBC4?) has bought the film for showing "early in the year" for their True Stories series. Maybe GE2 and others will be lucky enough to see it. And maybe that means eventually PBS will air it in the US.

Thank you, tipou, for finding this, and sharman for the links!
Doesn't he sound formal? A much different sound to my ear than say, the recent 11th hour interviews. Quite similar to the Joseph Andrews reading style, I'd say?

Oh, sorry to disagree, Lizap, but completely different style to when he was reading Joseph Andrews - even the purely narrative parts of that reflected Fielding's own style.
This is travelogue-ish. As it should be.

Always glad of another opinion, GE2! I've just barely started listening to Joseph Andrews, so it was a superficial comparison at best.

When I watched the trailer and heard Roof's voice it really reminded me of the way he read the Ian Fleming 007 novels.
Oh, and did you notice in the Credits on Pia Getty's website, it mentions "With special thanks to: Amy Gardner" (among others)? I wonder if that's the same Amy Gardner who is Billy Sewell's mother?
