Woohoo! Congratulations to Rufus and the other RnR kids! From that article: Peter Morgan's Frost/Nixon has two nominations for Best Actor, with both leads Michael Sheen and Frank Langella getting the . Rock 'N' Roll's Rufus Sewell, who has already won the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Actor for this production, is also nominated along with David Haig (Donkeys' Years) and Iain Glen (The Crucible). So can anyone who is familiar with The Evening Standard Award and the Oliviers speak to how often the best actor has been someone different for each of them? Most of the articles seem to consider Rock 'n' Roll and therefore Rufus the front runner but that would mean nothing in the US--just idle speculation by the press. And I just want to say this is a horrible quandary for me since I've been a fan of Frank Langella since Clyde was a pup.

But consider the message if he does win. This is exactly what he hungers for - a challenge - something people think he cannot do. It can be extended to award winning. Also, the second cast did not outshine the first cast, and he has been invited to New York. Who knows how twisted the voting becomes.
