Rufus Review of 2010

I thought it might be useful to have somewhere to go to for links to the main Rufus events of last year, rather than trawling through all the boards.

January:

2nd - pre-recorded appearance in Face Booth - Sky Arts tv (UK). Pics HERE.

4th - the first episode of The Last of Doctor Syn was broadcast on BBC Radio 7.


February:

8th and 9th - Photos in LA, with Ami.

24th - we discovered Rufus was in The Tourist - read how things progressed throughout the year.


March:

21st - article on Emily Woof and her experience working with Rufus on The Woodlanders

28th - article on Rufus and his Mum in the Mail on Sunday - includes pic of them together.


April:

8th - Rufus shopping at The Grove in Hollywood.

28th - photographs of Rufus in Venice.

May:

1st - photo of Rufus with a fan in Rome - no, not Dreamer!

2nd - More photos of Rufus in Venice.


June:

No singular event, plus Rufus was filming Zen by this stage, but there was a lot leading up to TPOTE so please refer to the threads on that board.


July:

(This was the month that Proboards lost four weeks' worth of data, so what we have left was reproduced after the original posts were lost)

14th - When Dreamer met Rufus on the set of Zen.

26th - photos of Rufus on the Zen set in Rome - looks like he was filming Ratking.

30th - no photos, but Dreamer met Rufus again!


August:

30th - photographs of Rufus at The Grove.

September:

No major events! I think Rufus was in hiding....or resting up for October


October:

23rd - on BBC Radio 4 on Loose Ends.

25th - appeared on TV on BBC Breakfast with Ken Follett, talking about TPOTE.

26th - appeared on the Sat.1 breakfast TV show on German TV. The link to the interview is HERE.

26th - Rufus and TPOTE co-stars at the red carpet in Berlin (the link takes you to the start of the photos)

29th - Rufus’s birthday, of course, so what better place to put the link for those who want to look back at the 2010 Birthday Project?


November:

22nd - Rufus attended the screening of Zen: Vendetta at the Princess Anne Theatre, BAFTA, Piccadilly, London, followed by a Q&A - and Rooftoppers were there! The reports and photos of the meeting with Rufus afterwards start here.


December:

6th - Rufus and Ami attended the New York premiere of The Tourist.

10th - The Tourist opened in the US and the UK. Lots of reviews (and spoilers)HERE.

14th - Rufus gave a reading at the Great Ormond Street Christmas Carol Concert, London - sadly, no reports or pics for this one.

15th - he also gave a reading at the Nordoff-Robbins Christmas Carol Concert in London, when some Rooftoppers were lucky enough to meet him again! The reports start HERE and pics are HERE.

20th - Rufus was video interviewed by Catherine Shoard of The Guardian (posted online 31 December)

There are various interviews/articles in this thread in the lead-up to the first episode of Zen.

29th - on Midweek, BBC Radio 4 (see above link) in converaation with other guests - the discussions of it start HERE.

30th - interviewed on BBC Breakfast, discussing Zen.

30th - interviewed on BBC Radio Five Live. (same link as for the BBC Breakfast interview)

I know I look calm, but, boy, I'm exhausted after all the activity this year!
