....reckons she saw Rufus in a cafe there: I walked down the street to a cafe zoe recommended and when there were no seats I asked the loud british guy if I could sit at his table. I realized quickly that writing with english being spoken around me was going to be much harder than the lilting hungarian background noise that I've become accustomed to when I'm outside of Trafo.
It then became apparent that this guy was an actor, an actor on TV and I couldn't help but be intrigued and want to figure out who he was. I tried very hard to block it out and keep writing, but his personality was taking up more space than existed in the tiny cafe and I succombed to the game of pretending to be doing something else while trying to figure out who he was. Nothing he was talking about rung a bell until he mentioned being the John Adams HBO series (yes, I'm enough of a history geek to have voluntarily rented this) and I could finally see his face framed by a wig. Rufus Sewell, is his name. And he's very photogenic. In person, his face is broad and blue eyes look a little crazy. Hunger and my internal moral compass that tells me to not pay more attention to famous people than to anyone else, made me stand up and walk out of the cafe to find some food and a few extra shirts to sweat through everyday. skstewartstravels.blogspot.com/2009/08/this-always-happens.htmlBlue eyes??!!!

Clearly off her rocker. Who among us would do such a daft thing?
Rai ;D

I notice that the woman did try to figure out who he was. So much for the nonsense about not caring about him being famous. Possibly colored blind since his eyes are green. And I love the line about his personality taking up more space than the cafe had to offer. So I love him even more because that means he enjoys people and is himself.
Nice to hear from you again Rai. I am keeping my fingers crossed that TPOTE is picked up by the US and Rufus does another film soon. Hopefully one that is a little more on the light side.

I love the line about his personality taking up more space than the cafe had to offer. That is a wonderful thing to say, isn't it? She may not have meant it kindly, but taken in a positive light that just endorses what has been said in the past about him being the life and soul of the party. I bet life's never dull with Rufus around! ;D

Yes, you are right numbat... and GE2 too! Maybe the blogger didn't mean something positive but certainly it can be like understood as that. Just imagine... And I can't understand why SHE LEFT!!!!!! Sitting with him, in tiny café, in such a beautiful city as Budapest....

My, my, aren't we a precious little blogger? It's interesting that she chose to sit next to a person who was "loud"--and then complain about it. Can't admit she finds him attractive and so calls him "photogenic", which is rarely the term one uses to describe someone in person. (Maybe she was googleing photos of him right at the table? Which would be rude) And her attempt at uber-coolness by walking off was just silly. Methinks she doth protest too much. About how she choses not to allow celebrity to affect her, that is. Her loss in not making conversation with a warm, genuine, witty and kind-hearted person. Well, I will laugh if I ever read an interview that was done with Rufus in a cafe near location and the writer mentions an irritated woman skulking off...ha ha.
