Watched it last Friday. . . Rufus. . . sweet as always but, this Movie >___>; IT SUCKS *sorry* I was so bored all the time. Maybe some day I'll watch it again, just because of Rufus. The Storyline was so absurd and the dialogues... But for 99 Cent.... it's a good movie (I found it in a video shop and bought it) XD

99 cents--a very fair price, bee It's pretty enjoyable if you only skim through for the Rufus scenes.

Okay Numbat. You need to begin to send your work to the studios. They could use some inventive work.

I purchased this film because one of my sons had seen the trailer. As it was suggested as film of the week I made my mind up to watch it finally. Afterwards I skipped through the Rufus scenes again. It seems to me like a mix of James Bond and a modern version of AKT, trying to be funny also. For example Ian's mobile rings always at an inconvenient moment. The story is very simple, perhaps one should just lean back and enjoy the magnificent landscape and of course Rufus' performance.

Not an award winning movie but one I can enjoy with my son. Rufus is cute and funny. I think he took this role because it was a bit different...sort of an action type movie. Thats my guess anyway.

Watched this again for movie of the week. Not quite up there as one of my favourites - but I quite enjoyed it actually. So it's not a high brow film but who cares. I thought it was fun - silly plot yes but didn't that just make it more amusing. It was action all the way. Never a dull moment. Enjoyed the humour - had to rewind and watch that snowboard defying gravity and swooping up into the helicopter bit several times. The terrorists girlfriend got the raspberry award from me. I wonder if she was dating the producer. It was nice to see Rufus playing a normal and somewhat sarky guy and I was quite impressed that the director didn't go for the classic schmaltzy storyline and get Ian to cop off with the skier (sorry forgotten her name - not important though). He certainly pulled off the best performance of the bunch. He played a nice guy a character I quite warmed to and did I mention how hot he looked ?

This was the perfect film to watch while it's hot and muggy outside -like it is now where I live- Cools you right down Really like how Rupert and Rufus where together in this movie, probably because they've played friends in the past. Rufus did the best he could with his role. He always elevates the quality of any film he's in. The plot had a good premise, but the writing overall could have been better. I always appreciate seeing the eerie set of the in-construction ski resort--kinda James Bond like and well done production values.

I was looking forward to seeing Rufus and Rupert together again in this (they had such great chemistry in Charles II), but this was a huge disappointment - Rupert was awful in it, in my opinion. I really do wish they would do another TV drama together - preferably with Shirley as well = the dream team!

This film is good for me at this time. Numbat you know where the good times and we(me) have a specific movie to watch us. My body is under heavy sedation and unable to concentrate on foreign language now, so this movie is perfect for this situation for me. Beautiful nature, wonderful Rufus ..... perfect!

Stama - i hope you're ok? Feel better soon luv..... So, i've just watched this with a couple of 10 year old boys (yes, they appear to be breeding now - everytime i turn around there are more of them in my house!!), and of course they enjoyed it, because to be fair, boys between what, 10 and 25 are the demographic for this movie. And for what it is, it's a decent enough flick. And in defence of Ian, i have this to say. Firstly, he is an absolute honey. I mean, he looks like this for goodness sake; Secondly, he's an all round action man hero. He kayaked, hung from a helicopter and snowboarded just as well as those kids did, all the while carrying a bloody great camera. He balanced on beams, hung from a rockface and out boarded an avalanche. He looked after, guided and got those kids out of danger, snowboarded with that girl hanging off him, encouraged the ski girl when she didn't think she could make it, and still managed to get the final shot for his freaking commercial!! Although he was obviously supposed to be the responsible, older adult, he was still fun. Hung Rupert upside down by his ankles from the side of a very tall building, thought their snowboarding from the back of the train was great and joined in the snowball fight in the mountaintop hotel. And all the while, he was pining for his girlfriend Stacey who must have belonged in some kind of institution for not wanting to come and meet him in Paris in "that little hotel we stayed at." What the hell is wrong with you, you stupid, stupid woman??? He didn't take advantage of Chloe when she was drunk, even though she obviously wanted him to (and who could blame her), but apparently ended up with her by the end, judging by the phone call between them. So yeah, his movie isn't a classic, but hey, I think it fills a niche in the repetoire of characters that Rufus has played. And i'm certainly not going to complain when i get to watch this; Don't you just love how a little snowflake sits on each curl, sigh........... ;D

perhaps a glass of really good red wine would do the trick. The movie might even make sense after that.

Started watching EO while ironing earlier this week and finished off with the last 30 minutes today.
It's one of those typical rather brainless action films, but the landscape is beautiful and the stunts breathtaking, and while I didn't much like most of the crew, Rufus made the best he could from the flat plot. And, for once, he got away unscathed without as much as a decorative scratch across the nose, and he saved the girl heroically. Not to mention the "cliff-hanging" and so on.
What I didn't quite get is why he was balancing over that ceiling beam thing at the resort while talking on the phone. He was bound to fall, as he did (I actually laughed at that because the scene seemed so absurd ... )
All in all, it wasn't as bad as I had expected, and he did look very cute with the snow in his hair (wouldn't have minded warming him up after the shooting - they must have frozen their toes off ...)
