Hi everyone, No!!! It's not what you think this game is about ;D I'm referring to Ruf's passion for FOOD besides sandwiches.... We know there are lots of talents here inside the RoofTops and sure that some of yours are in the kitchen. So, what's on the menu for him? share your best creations! get your bragging right! e.g: For Rufus, I will make my famous straight from the hot terracota paella, double liquored Tiramisu and tripple edge expresso (I wish!! I'm making this up...) And for those whose talents are more towards the savouring than the cooking part like ME, we can brag about what's on the menu at the best local eatery we'd take him to. Let me start: For Rufus, I will take him to my local Persy's for awesome double New Englander breakfast (the best corned beef hash and eggs!!) and bottomless coffee Louis : "When will Sewellme take us to Persy's again? this cereals are boring!!!" Albert: "Dunno....but it better be soon....real SOON!!!"

For Rufus, I will cook simple but good food .
I am assuming this is a meal for both of us.
I know Shirley Conran said life is too short to stuff a mushroom but they are delish So First Stuffed Mushrooms ( Because I like them ) Then
Lemon brushed Salmon en papillote with tiny new potatoes, baby peas, with a cucumber sauce ( Because he likes fish)
and a choice of dessert either pears poached in sweet cider with whipped cream
or Fraise liqueur soaked raspberry trifle (with proper custard not packet ) ( Just to spoil him )
followed by a floater coffee ( maybe unfashionable now, but delicious to finish a meal )
I haven't included a wine because he doesn't drink anymore, but I shall be knocking back a nicely chilled Chenin Blanc

What a nice idea! Actually I've been already thinking about the menu for the highly unlikely case Rufus might come to dinner Looking at the weather, I'd start with a nice creamy soup, probably a French "potage parmentier" (leek-and-potato soup with crème fraîche). As a main course: fine beef tenderloin with a drop of red-wine sauce and grilled potato slices, flavoured with herbs (I'd certainly need a glass of wine to go with it, to calm my excitement ) Dessert would be something Christmassy like flaky-pastry pies with apple-and-almond stuffing, flavoured with cinnamon and honey. To be followed by a nice espresso as a to Zen, if he is inclined. Maybe accompanied by some homemade dark-chocolate-and-coffee truffles.

I would introduce him to some southern cooking. A Kentucky Hot-Brown, followed by bread pudding covered in chocolate bourban sauce. Of course he CAN have anything he wants...I will cook to order!

I'd ask him to cook for a change and settle for his Sewell's Gruel: ""Tin of beans, a stock cube, blah, blah, and I could make food for eight people." Or maybe he's learned to cook some fabulous Italian dished during filming in Italy.

I thought the same when I read that (However, I'm not sure if I really want to try that ... perhaps I should keep something else in stock, just in case.)

I would take him to The best restaurant in this area "Paco's". Paco is a good friend of the family and I'm sure he would find us the best table in the house. He makes gorgeous Spanish food, Salmon, Lobster, Paella you name it. It is Delicioso.

Is it the food you are wanting sewellme or Mr Sewell's company lol Seriously though when I can afford it I go here, I love fish and seafood (oh now I'm feeling hungry) and I agree pre-packed isn't nearly as good.

If Rufus were to show up in Houston, I'd take him here: Thelma would just love him with his fancy English accent and big smile. She'd fix him a big plate of the best barbecue in the world. Roof's chin would be dripping from the juiciest brisket and ribs he's ever tasted. And she'd fix him a plate to go just so he wouldn't get hungry overnight.
