A rather confused vicar?!?!? I can hardly wait to see that! Great news! I had already thought he might play the part of Perowne, but playing the vicar is/was certainly more fun for Rufus as well as for us! ;D ;D ;D

I understand this is going to be broadcast on BBC2. Does that mean it will be available on iPlayer on the BBC website? If so, kygal, no need to hope for HBO, we can watch using Expat Shield just like we did for Zen.

I'm almost sure BBC2 will be available on iplayer Joyce. Thanks GE2 for that great link Rufus sees himself as a character actor and he is certainly getting the parts to prove it at present. Long may it continue Can't wait to see this either. We are lucky to have all this Rufus to look forward to in the coming months.

I've been imagining what he might look like ever since I read the news ... and I can't help grinning at the thought!

Thanks for the interesting link, walt! It’s also a good deal funnier than I had anticipated - from the charming farce of Valentine and Christopher’s initial meeting, to the laugh out loud hilarity of Christopher and best friend Macmaster’s (Stephen Graham) breakfast meeting with Mrs Duchemin (featuring Rufus Sewell doing a marvellous comedic turn as a rather confused vicar) I'm currently reading the book and could picture Rufus exactly in this scene. He even fits the description of Mr. Duchemin the vicar rather well Now I really can't wait!
