Rachel, I know exactly what you mean - I've just been to the dentist for the first time in years And of course it wasn't so horrible at all!

Well said Robela. Courage beats coward!
LOL. We all must be on the same schedule for appointments. Easy to put things off, as I have done.
TGIF. Have a relaxing weekend everyone!

The problem with putting things off is that they tend to get bigger and bigger and scarier and scarier in your head. I'll try to get back to a more regular schedule now.

That is usually one of my secret resolutions Kate, but I have been living in my present home now for 18 months and have to date not registered with a dentist. Fortunately I have reasonably good teeth but I need to go and have them checked soon.

Don't you just love Estate Agents!!!! As some of you know, my younger son purchased his first house recently. Moved in Feb 28th. Yesterday, via the post, he received an advertising leaflet! The leaflet stated that this particular Estate Agent had recently sold properties in the area and if you were thinking of sellling asked if you'd contact them as they had a buyer waiting. There was also a photograph of a house. Nothing unusual about that or was there! Funny though as, the agent was the same one who had dealt with the sale of my son's house less than a month before! Oh and the picture, was in fact a photo of the house that my son had just purchased. With regard to the attack in London on Wednesday. My thoughts are with those who lost their lives and were injured and their families. A very big thanks to all the emergency services and members of the general public who helped care for the victims. My next door neighbour's son is a paramedic based in Westminster. He was on duty that day and was one of the first to arrive on Westminster Bridge. Thanks D to you and all your brave colleagues for your tireless work. Stay safe everyone, wherever you are and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Absolutely LTM! I think we all feel humbled by the quick actions of the police and all the other emergency services but especially by the brave and unarmed police officer who gave the ultimate sacrifice that day.
I watched it all unfold on BBC as the news bulletin interrupted a programme I was watching and it was horrifying.

LTM - yes, the first responders are truly special people. I read somewhere that they are the type of people who, when the rest of us are running away from trouble, they are running right to it to see if they can help. Very funny about Paul and his house. He should call the agent up and see if his house has increased in value since he bought it! Are you familiar with the children's story If You Give a Mouse a Cookie? Well, that was me today. At breakfast I noticed the kitchen curtains looked a little dusty. So, I thought I should throw them in the washer. And since the curtains were down, I might as well wash the windows and wipe down the window frames and windowsills. And if I'm wiping down the windowsills, I might as well clean the tchotchkes on the sills. Once that was done, the cabinets were looking a little shabby so I cleaned them. And if I'm cleaning the cabinets, I might as well clean the counters and all of the stuff on the counters. (How does the toaster collect so many crumbs???) And since I had the ironing board out to iron the curtains, I might as well wash and iron the spring tablecloth for the kitchen table. I even finally got around to re-potting the aloe plant that lives on the windowsill above the sink. I did draw the line at scrubbing the kitchen floor. My poor knees won't take that so it just got a good sweeping and mopping. But my kitchen now shines! And I'm seriously thinking we need to go out to dinner tonight because after all that work I sure as h#ll don't want to get it dirty by cooking dinner.

LTM, Estate agents are a breed apart in inefficiency. You think they would at least look at the photo of the house before pushing through the door and do they ever update their records! Rachel! Oh my! What a star. You have inspired me to copy you, but must take the dog out first. I have just returned from a lovely Mothering Sunday vegan Chinese meal for myself and my granddaughter Lily-Rose and a normal one for herself and my grandson Ollie. Prior to that the four of us walked with my dog Enzo to the pub in Wilmslow where my daughter lives and we sat outside in the beautiful sunshine yesterday drinking Pinot Grigio blush except for Olllie of course. Then we walked back and had some champagne before our lovely meal. Hence I stayed the night and returned home with Enzo this morning.

Can't say I did half as much as you, but managed to tidy up the back garden a bit and also do a few chores around the house, including a bit of carpet cleaning!! Also managed to get my CD/radio working in my car. Yeahhhh. LOL Robela, you know only too well about Estate Agents!!!! Glad you enjoyed your day with your family. Have a great week everyone.

The sun did manage to come up today in spite of my beloved wildcats loss. Great game and great season! They are always talented but always young so you never know how they will play. It has been an exciting tourney.
Love this warmer weather!
Have a wonderful week everyone!

I'm looking forward to really enjoying the warmer weather once I'm finished working. The air conditioning keeps running amok here and it's freaking cold in the office!

Kate - we're lucky - our workplace refuses to turn on the airconditioning until May. They say the weather is to changable until then.
Unfortunately, I was to tired to go out to dinner, but we didn't fuss as husband and daughter were watching the basketball games to break for a full meal. And kygal, so sorry about your 'Cats. But on the bright side, they are young so you'll have a good team next year.
Robela - it sounds as if you had a lovely day with your family. A belated happy mothering day.
