I"m back! Had a wonderful time at the beach with my friends. Ate a lot of good food (a bit to much to be honest) and drank a lot of good wine. Weather was perfect, probably the best we've had in all the time we've done this beach week. Sunny and warm the whole week. But back to work now and in the winding down phase of the semester. Hard to believe the year is almost over.

Yes, it is hard to believe that it's May already. Although around here we seem to have skipped directly into summer. Very, very warm here. Personally, I like it but others have been complaining.

We usually get to enjoy all four seasons where I live. Lately we have had very short Springs and have gone directly to summer weather. I like it too!
Busy weekend around here. U of K graduations, Oaks and Derby festivities, and the Vice President was here yesterday. Traffic issues! Meeting a friend for brunch today and enjoying a mint julip later. Guess I will get through it. Rainy day here.
Have a fantastic weekend!

I hope everyone enjoys celebrating mothers or being pampered themselves, whenever it is celebrated in your part of the world. It is tomorrow for the US ladies. Have fun!

Had a nice Mother´s Day on Saturday inviting my Mum, on Sunday a visit with elder daughter at an old Jewish cemetery near us, and getting lunch cooked by younger daughter.
Hubby had been back by then from his Pilgrimage with some friends: Every year they go two or three days long a part of The Way of St. James (to Santiago) in Austria, this time in the Tyrol.
Weather was better than forecast, but in the meantime it´s cold and raining again. Will be staying inside today, as I cought a cold.
Have a nice time everyone!

My mother is "downsizing" from a 2 story home to a one level apartment. Its time. She is a young 91. Been busy with that for weeks. Her home sold in hours. So tired and sore from making room at our home for some furniture I wanted and getting her settled. My wonderful brothers have helped but its a job. Best part is I will enjoy her pool all summer..lol.
Have a great day!

Hiya everyone.
Thought I’d just pop in quickly and say hello......Hello all 😀
Kygal, hope all that moving stuff around continues to go smoothly. It’s a stressful process, you have a very brave mom. Still the pool is a big incentive!!
Rachel, hope things have improved for you.
We have 3 lambs where I work, adorable little things. One got rejected by the mother so is being bottle fed. That was my first job of the day yesterday when I got to work, feed Spot. It’s such a hard life lol. 😍
A funny tale for you. The ram that fathered our 3 lambs is elderly. The lady who owns him thought he’d be ok to service 2 ewes, hence our new flock of 3. The lady had then decided not to breed sheep anymore. Unfortunately the ram had other ideas. He escaped from his field and went into another field with ewes. He was there for about 4 hours and now 6 of the ewes are pregnant. Naughty ram lol. I am surprised they didn’t find him dead in the field 🙈

Hi LTM! Great to hear from you. I would love to have that my first job of the day. I am envious you get to be with all those animals. So funny about the ram. Cant blame the guy though...lol. Thanks for making me smile this am. Hope all is well with you.

LTM - how wonderful to finally get back the board after a bit and find not only a post from you, but one that definitely made me smile. I agree with Kygal, not a bad way to start your day. and yes, things are settling down a bit for me.
Kygal, you are a good daughter. I'm sure that was a difficult job for you and your mom, both physically and emotionally. But now it's done and you have a pool to lounge around.
Daughter has a new job! She is actually coming to work at my school - in the advancement department. She was finding the bank job more stressful as things under the new management kept getting switched around. One day she wasn't supposed to do certain tasks, then a week later, "oh we need you to do these tasks." Benefits here are also much better than what she had there.

Congrats to your daughter Rachel. I imagine the hours are good as well. I am not so sure I would have been able to return there after the robbery. She is brave. Kygirl is working at my place of employment in the business office. Its an entry level type job but good experience, benefits and hours. YAY!
Have a great weekend everyone. A long one foe us. I am pool bound!
